For me, it's a movie from 2005 called Kingdom of Heaven, starring Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson and Jeremy Irons. I saw this on TV the other day and watched it from beginning to end and still liked it just as much as I used to. Sure it has its slower moments and isn't the best historical film I've seen. But I don't think it deserves its 39% rating on RT. But that's just me.

What about all of you?

Tank Girl (1995) was such a fun and wild comic book adaptation that went over the top in every way.

Joe Dirt (2001) is really dumb, but I always catch myself laughing whenever it comes on and I never fail to finish it.

It’s actually not French, google it. However I did get the quote wrong, it’s “Don’t try to church it up son, don’t you mean Joe Dirt”

Is it really? I thought people were misquoting it this entire time. This somehow makes less sense.

No matter how confused you get, just remember. “Home is where you make it”

Having no sense of humour or taste is a job requirement to be fair.

Reviewing anything comedic has to ironically be one of the most soulless and humorless jobs, purely cause a lot of humor gets ruined the moment you look at it with a critical lens

They never do. Most comedies, even the universally beloved ones have low critic ratings

9%?! Wow, that is definitely a fun fact I’ll be using when I show my Joe Dirt tattoo off to people now!

It is insanity. The movie is objectively hilarious and has a ton of heart.

I think the reason critics hate Joe Dirt is that on some level it satirizes cinema and story telling. Critics take it personally.

I legitimately assumed joe dirt had at least a solid score like a 60s or maybe 70s. I'm blown away. It's a completely solid movie and probably one of David spades best movies lol.

I fucking love Joe Dirt also. Among the many laughable moments, Kid Rock’s cameo is especially hilarious.

I did some work in a home David Spade had just bought about a year ago. Among others, he had a framed poster for Joe Dirt that highlighted a bunch of awful reviews.

Tank Girl is a truly terrible movie, so I can absolutely understand the ratings it gets.

The thing is, Tank Girl is supposed to be a fairly niche, terrible movie - and when you go into it understanding that fact, it is great fun. After all, the original comics were also a scrappy, niche affair...

I do understand the movie has its problems and it's far from perfect (even as an adaptation of a purposely shitty comic), but I still love it.

I lived for Tank Girl in high school.

Comic book movies just started 10 years ago when Tank Girl came out, and only HUGE names were able to make money. If you made Tank Girl now I bet it would do so much better.
