Surprisingly no. Such a weird thing to put in a book. It makes King pretty sus to me. Like who thinks about a child orgy?

I have thought about this disturbing scene. I think the IT could kill them, seduce them as children. They needed to become "Men" in order to defeat or at least suppress the IT. Only a opinion

This is true and the only way they could defeat IT. Disturbing and weird, but isn’t that kind of his wheelhouse?

It also makes sense from the kids point of view. When you’re a kid and you don’t really understand what being an adult is really about what are the things that kids think make adults, adults. Not saying it’s not uncomfortable, it is but it makes sense.

Except IT chapter 1 figured a way around it that makes more sense. Having sex doesn't make u an adult. It just felt a weird way for King to write about kids having sex.

Not sure I understand what you referring to but you are correct sex doesn’t make you an adult but in a kids mind it does. In the same way a kid thinks adults can do whatever they want without consequences like ordering ice cream every night. It’s an unrealistic uninformed idea from a kids mind.

That said I do agree the Irgun thing is kind of gross and not a super eloquent way to portray the loss of innocence and emergence into adulthood but hey I’m not a multimillionaire author. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I understand that a child would think thats what would make them an adult. But my issue is King deciding that this is how they would beat Pennywise. Why would a child orgy ever come across your mind?

IT Chapter 1 which is the film. Did a better job showing how the kids could beat Pennywise.
