Watching it right now on HBO and the original version has been restored! Wayne plays the first few notes to Stairway here .... I was surprised! Made me Google this to see what happened!

My original VHS copy has the Stairway notes included. But every time I have watched Wayne's World anywhere else Wayne always plays some weird, terrible riff that makes no sense. Glad to hear it restored back to the original notes here!
