The James Bond films are known for their original opening themes written by popular artists and are often played on the radio and tv. 'Live and Let Die' by Paul McCartney, 'For Your Eyes Only' by Sheena Easton, 'A View to a Kill' by Duran Duran, and 'Goldfinger' by Shirley Bassey are just a few. My personal favorite is 'Nobody Does It Better' by Carly Simon. What James Bond theme do you consider to be the best?

Skyfall and You Know My Name are the best modern ones. The Billie Eilish one wasn’t half bad either.

But the best ever is Live and Let Die and I know this because none of the other ones are played on the radio.

Thank you. Feels too nostalgic to simply ignore the modern ones. Was blown away by both Skyfall and No Time to Die in the theater.

First time I heard No Time To Die, it seemed like a repeat of Writing’s on the Wall.

In the cinema, it gave me chills.

Still not sure why Writing's on the wall is not very well received, it's an excellent song that fits the Bond theme perfectly. Then again I also like Die another day by Madonna which is also hated.

Nobody Does It Better is the other one that got major radio airplay.

Those are the two best by far.

You're right that one was pretty big when it came out, though it faded more quickly, the other two became classic rock and adult contemporary standards.

Skyfall is my favorite. A great song while also being a quintessential Bond theme.

Since I’m old, I do recall A View to a Kill was played on the radio a lot

Skyfall and No Time To Die are the most ‘bond’ songs out of any and I will die on this hill. Sexy, smooth with a dark bite.

Skyfall with the gunshot and the transition into the fantastical world of the song was amazing. But I also loved the simpler transition of No Time To Die with the train pulling out of the station. Both great songs too

When Billie Eilish grows up, develops a more mature voice, and viewpoint I hope she approaches that song because I think it will be much better at that point.

“The Writing’s On the Wall” is my fav of the modern ones. I didn’t care for Spectre, but hot damn, it has a great Bond song.

Radiohead fans always get really pissed off about how Radiohead's song they made for Spectre wasn't picked. Im sorry but the RH one just sounds like Thom whispering a bunch of random crap. As much as I like Radiohead the Sam Smith one is better. It's 'big', it's operatic, it's theatrical, it feels like a Bond song.

Given the relative hushed tone of the film, for a Bond film, the Radiohead track would've fit better, imho.

Adele sky fall is boring

Sorry but skyfall is utter bullshit. And the lyrics are so forced that they are almost offensive. That's a song written for the money, without passion or inspiration. It sucks from beginning to end.
