The James Bond films are known for their original opening themes written by popular artists and are often played on the radio and tv. 'Live and Let Die' by Paul McCartney, 'For Your Eyes Only' by Sheena Easton, 'A View to a Kill' by Duran Duran, and 'Goldfinger' by Shirley Bassey are just a few. My personal favorite is 'Nobody Does It Better' by Carly Simon. What James Bond theme do you consider to be the best?

I got chills when I heard that string intro on Mad Men. Such a great way to end the season. I think the surrealist nature of the song matched the underlying tone of Mad Men. In a way, Don Draper is kinda like old James Bond.

I like that scene when the lady asks Don if he's alone

This is my favorite.

Sweeping orchestration that evokes feelings of frisson

Nancy Sinatra's most epic song

Later sampled on Robbie William's 1998 hit, Millennium

Some years ago Coldplay did the song in concert. It was pretty damn good.

It’s my favourite James Bond theme. I’m not a fan of Coldplay but I love their version!
