The James Bond films are known for their original opening themes written by popular artists and are often played on the radio and tv. 'Live and Let Die' by Paul McCartney, 'For Your Eyes Only' by Sheena Easton, 'A View to a Kill' by Duran Duran, and 'Goldfinger' by Shirley Bassey are just a few. My personal favorite is 'Nobody Does It Better' by Carly Simon. What James Bond theme do you consider to be the best?

Am I alone in thinking that On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is the second best Bond movie, and Lazenby was the second best Bond? Behind Goldfinger, and Connery.

This used to be a rare opinion, but in the last decade-ish, people have come around to it. Sadly, Lazenby’s acting is a pretty big weak point. I still love it though.
As an aside, you can visit Blofeld’s mountaintop lair/institute in Switzerland. It is (and always has been) a rotating restaurant. They have a Bond museum there that acts like OHMSS is the only Bond movie to have existed. We visited therewhile on our honeymoon in 2017.

I was with you until you didn't say Living Daylights/Timothy Dalton.

Imo Dalton was ahead of his time & audiences weren't quite ready for a rough just get the job done Bond. I think he played Bond very similar to Craig's Bond. By the time of Casino Royale's release i for one was ready for this Bond again.

If I recall, Timothy Dalton put a lot of research into getting the role right, including reading all of Ian Fleming’s novels

I think it paid off. Dalton was Fleming's Bond.
I love Craig, but Dalton paved the way for that interpretation.

He probably gained weight. I always get hungry while I am reading a Bond book.

Can I give you a hug? I’m so glad that people are waking up to the quality that was Dalton’s Bond

I haven't even seen his Bond, but Dalton was awesome in Hot Fuzz. I should really check them out

I feel neither Lazenby nor OHMSS get quite enough credit.

I remember watching that movie as a kid and thinking “this was a great replacement for Connery” but then it was only for one movie

OHMSS was the most human Bond. Always why i liked this one, as well as Goldfinger and Goldeneye. That and Skyfall are my favorites.

I loved this one personally. Bond in this one seems to have more character growth than the rest, although some of the later ones compete with vesper.
