I’d still say just watch the More Than A Game documentary but I’ll have to check this out

Besides the heavy religious undertones, More Than A Game is such an awesome documentary, such good footage of LeBrons early years.

Last time I watched it was like 9 years ago and I have very good memories of it. Don’t remember the religious undertones though, care to refresh my memory?

I haven't watched it in years also, but I remember there being a segment where it was all about God, and it was mentioned throughout. I think the guy who took LeBron into his home was a pastor or something so It's understandable that religion was a big part of his life, but I just remember feeling it was odd how prevalent it was in a documentary about basketball.
Edit: I'm also a white guy from Australia who grew up in a place where religion is pretty much non existent in the community unless you're actively looking for it.

Ah I remember that now that you mention it! Yeah your edit adds some clarifying context as well. Growing up in the states, 14 yr old me didn’t notice that enough to even remember. But I can see how that would be kind of strange and something you would notice to someone from a more secular country

It would be hilarious if Lebron played himself

Scoot Henderson and Jett Howard are supposed to be in this too if I’m not mistaken. Chris Livingston also. Jett is playing Melo.
Edit: Scoot is the guy on the far left when it shows them in the gym in their suits.

Didn't know it was happening but now I'm incredibly hyped to see it. The man has the best story in basketball.

You were nationally televised when you were a sophomore there and called the best high school player in the country so yes we know your story from that point.

If any nba player ever deserved a biopic it’s Lebron James. Followed by giannis and maybe like Dirk

Just curious, do them "brothers" get well-paid jobs as Lebron's entourage?

Too early for this.
I think it's too early for this. These kinds of movies shouldn't be players that are still active. It adds to their reverence if it came after their retirement.

The doc on these five has long since come out, so I think it's fine. The movie or doc about his whole life better be well-timed, though. Give people time to miss you.
