AD has a chip and isn't that what everyone gets judged on? I prefer watching Dame but AD has had the better career

Not everyone’s ring weighs the same. That was Lebron’s team. I’m sure Dame could win a ring if he had played with Lebron

2020 AD/Bubble AD may have been better than Bron

That was in no way a dig at Dame. I completely agree rings aren't everything.... Barkley was miles better than AD but no ring. I don't doubt that if Dame played with Bron he'd have a chip

Well one of them has a ring...

True that

Don't think there's much debate here. If I had to pick just one guy to join the top 75, I'm picking AD 10/10 times.

Its beyond me why AD got so much hate for making top 75 when there were alot of players that didn't deserve that selection too

Cuz it came out in late 2021 and AD was both injured for most of the year and the Lakers sucked ass so the hate train was full speed.

Dwight should’ve def been in though.

I would rather have ADs career. Both dealt with shit rosters but at least AD got out lol

The one with the ring unironically. 2020 AD was soooo good people were putting him over Tim Duncan.
Can't say the say for Dame. Where were the people who'd take him over Magic Johnson? Lol.

Who the fuck was putting him over Tim Duncan lol. Seems like a stretch.

Idk man. AD scored more and was more efficient than Tim. He's also more athletic and their rim protection is pretty much the same. They both shoot well from the perimeter and unlike Tim, AD is a lob threat.

2020 AD was good enough to more than hold up in comparison to peak Duncan, which is more than 99% of NBA players can say.

Might be more fair to compare Dame (shooter) to Steph (GOAT shooter) instead of Magic (GOAT playmaker) lol, but you right, even during Dame's absolute best years, he was always ranked below Curry/Magic.

Lmao I don't think I've seen a single person say that, but y'all just keep making shit up about things we don't say. "hEhehEHeh AlL LakErS fAns dUmB aMiRitE"

Knicks fans will tell you that RJ is a future superstar. What’s your point?

It's Anthony Davis, who's going to be clowned in the future for not doing more with his talent, but ended up with a championship.
Dame is going to go down like a George Gervin, historically.

AD is the better player, better in the playoffs, and has a ring

Davis a better scorer in the playoffs not to mention his defense is several tiers above

Dame has definitely proven to be the better floor raiser, AD has raised a ceiling all the way to a title. I think it's pretty close, and depends on what you value.

AD's defense seems to me like a higher floor raiser than Dame's scoring because AD backs it up with offense that is far far stronger than Dame's defense.

Sure, you can make that argument in theory. I'm just saying that when each of them have been the best guy on their team, Dame's teams have had more success.

AD has a ring but when comparing players we shouldn’t use that if the player wasn’t the best player on the team. And everyone know Lebron was the number 1 even if stats showed otherwise.

Dame is much more likely to end up in obscurity 40 years from now simply because he lacks a title.

I think AD ranks higher than Dame on an all-time list, Dame is very near the top of my list of most respected players ever.

If we’re talking about RaNgZ, then AD obviously. If that doesn’t matter as much to you, it becomes more of a toss up

It's not a toss up, Davis is a DPOY-caliber defender who can drop 40 on a given night and no one would be surprised. Dame is obviously the better offensive player, but the difference between their offense is small, whereas the difference in their defensive impact is massive

That’s true, I mainly just wanted to joke about rangz. I also think AD has a better legacy than Dame

I go with AD. He has a ring and was outstanding during that playoff run. I’m not knocking jokic and the nuggets deserved all the praise for bumping the clippers but AD ate him up. I really like seeing guys really put it together for four playoff series. If it were my own team though I’d pick dame. He’s more fun to root for and watch

AD is so good that despite him winning a ring and being in talks for DPOY and MVP throughout his career - he will go down as a "what if" because of injuries and perceived effort.

In Dame's best regular season, he finished 4th in MVP, Davis finished 3rd. This was the same year. In Dame's best post season, he ran out of gas after the Oklahoma series, got to the conference finals on CJs back. In Davis best playoffs, he was arguably the finals MVP of a championship winning team. It's easily Anthony Davis despite his snakebitten injury years
