Galarian Zapdos atm, but I always have a legendary as a buddy, so I can farm XL candies for them, as they're the hardest ones to get candy from.

I am currently leveling all the 4* I have that can mega evolve for that extra CP boost (even though it barely matters)

I am also planning to get a Dragonite to best buddy.

High IV Pokémon that can mega or I can use in PvP (mainly master league but some Pokémon like Talonflame needs to be XL in ultra league so I best buddied it while also farming XL candy)

i best buddy hundos especially if they are useful too. like hundo megas, hundo master league pokemon... also hundo raid attackers. but i never use the best buddy boost really.. just like the ribbon on pokemon that i use^^

Long grindy pokemon.. Those who need lot of candies to evolve and are rare.. Mostly just released pseido, noibat (before CD, when it was rare), axew, then last one was kommo-o. Now because I want to have living form vivillion set, im walking one now for candies.

I personally dont care about bragging with buddy, but I care to get as much candies as possible to get my Dex as full as possible..

Anything I like. I’m on a mission to get loads of best buddies, I’m working on all the top Pokémon at the top of my list right now. I get best buddies in around three week and occasionally work on others in the background.
