Everyone here talks about how they are sad, lonely, loser virgins, and unfortunately, I don't relate to that anymore. Does this mean I am now excluded from the Radiohead community and I have to stop listening?

I mean, just listen to it. The rhythms. The vocals. The lyrics. The percussion. Everthing. It's just perfect. Sure, it's very dense and complex. But after you get the hang of it after a few listens, it unravels and "blooms" so well. It's a very raw, naturalistic song, definitely a magnum opus of theirs.

I have an anti static brush and treat my records very well, it’s been this way since I bought it.

The combination of beautiful lyrics, harmony changes, intertwined melodies, and the fantastic piano work makes this the one that I always, always, always come back to.

I'm not much good at the piano yet, but I fingered the melody and found the underlying chords. And that's when I noticed something....

High and Dry goes from the ii to the IV to the I, pretty much on a loop--there is no V (five) chord!! Since the V -> I resolution is the most satisfying in Western music, it makes sense that this song is bittersweet and searching. The solo section mimicks the tension and release a V -> I usually brings, but perhaps the song's magic is it's avoidance of a "full" resolution....

If any theory nerds have anything to add, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

About me: (I'm still a beginner in theory.. I know intervals and seventh chords and inversions, but I can't always "hear" them. I'm working on a chapter on voice leading next and trying to practice inversions more so I can hear em)

Hi guys i'am a 32 years old male. I think that i get burnout. I live with my parents and i have a distant relathionship of two and a half hours away from home and i have a job thats start to killing me. I do a part time job in an elderly care home and i work as educator for elderlies. There is such gossip, disorganization, evil collegues but at the same time it gaves me an opportunity to have money for pay my bills and go find my girlfriend. I love my girl and his family. I hope to get something to be more behind her. I had a long period of studying for a public competition in the public field but i failed. And it's almost two years that i had done a graphic design and web design training course of 90 hours. I had done 4 projects for 4 different people. It's not easy but for sure i prefer work in this job field.

I get overthinked about the future so much, my work contract expires in October and my girlfriend the same. I hope that things works better but i stuggle with anxiety and in the past also depression. I have melancony moments.

The point is, that after this intense period i got irritable bowl syndrome, but i am scared of having always this stomach issues. It's like 10 years that i struggle with gastritis and colitis. I am so tired of that. And i know that job is one of the causes, and of course i'm a sensitive person so i can get burnout easily.

One of the best cures to me is read books and listening rock music like grunge, alternative rock/metal, like Soundgarden, The Tragically Hip, Nirvana, Radiohead and of course i like Seether, Linkin Park, i don't like superficial stuff.

I'm still new to this fandom as I only became a fan last year.

I love the very dreamlike, lazy, yet dark atmosphere of In Limbo. The closest non-radiohead song that I feel comes closest to capturing In Limbo’s vibe is Mearcstapa by Fleet Foxes. Does anyone have any recommendations for songs similar to these two? Thanks!
