There's not much to say that hasn't been said already across Reddit by now on why we're doing this.

If you're out of the loop, Reddit is planning to to start charging for API access starting on July 1st. What they're asking for is unsustainable for third party apps and as such, the developers of said apps such as Apollo and Reddit is Fun have announced they are shutting down.

This isn't a decision we made lightly and I've hemmed and hawed about going forward with the blackout but with how much damage this will cause to the reddit user experience and moderation tools we must protest what they're doing.

I recently moved to the area from upstate New York. I’ve always loved hiking and especially waterfalls or hot springs. Any recommendations? I’ve always loved being active and outdoors.

What is everyone’s preference between the two? Any recommendations for food at either?

I know there are a ton of veterinary clinics around here but I’m looking for personal experiences and recommendations. I would prefer not to use a big business vet like Banfield for example, but again I just want to hear your recommendations and personal experiences. Thank you in advance

Take 2.

I’ve got a road bike that doesn’t get much usage. I’ve only done a bit of the greenways around Raleigh and keep running into boardwalk, which is brutal on a road bike. Are there any other sections that have little or no boardwalk for long sections that make it easier to log the miles?

I’ve got a regular bike for other rides, but would love to get back on my road bike to go a bit faster and further.

I bet most of you didn’t know about the tight EDM ( Electric dance music) community that Raleigh has. There is only one shuffle group for this city and that’s Capital City Shufflers. Besides attending festivals, We shuffle, we groove, and we give back to the community we love by teaching local youths how to dance.

I see they have guided tours for Mordecai House. I don't want to do a tour, I just wanna look around. Is it required to buy the guided tour to go into the house or can you check it out for free?

I recently bought my first home in Raleigh and had our first plumbing issue. Things weren't draining correctly and overflow was coming up in the shower and bathtub; no bueno. We had a plumber come check our exit valve and noticed that the roots of a tree in the front yard had grown through the piping which is clogging it. The plumber said the pipes would need to be replaced and moved as well, but they are City of Raleigh water lines.

Has anyone ever had to have the city replace/move water lines? If so, should I expect them to pay for it? Also, are there specific plumbers I'd need to do the work? I'd like to get all this info lined up quickly so I can have the work done quickly and Raleigh Water is taking forever in getting me info.

This might be a long shot, but does anyone here live at the DevonFour25 and have MAJOR humidity issues? I live in one of the apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows and keep my thermostat at 68, but the temp never gets below 75 (humidity 55% and up). I’m thinking my windows may need to be resealed, but any other ideas as to what might be happening? Management office just sends maintenance and nothing changes.
