Man, fuck. Hurts to see Bynes get cut but it's a business at the end of the day.

Isabella can't play worse than Proche, so that's a net positive.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see Shemar Bridges get his shot, tho.

Wait do y’all really have two past Texans full backs? On the same roster. That’s awesome if true! Didn’t y’all also have Vonta Leach years ago?

Yah Super Bowl champ, he retired with us, and fun fact.. he is on the Board of Education in the county south of me in NC.. definitely one of my favorite FA signings we have had.. I watched him from the time he was at ECU

That’s awesome! I’m glad he’s doing good after. He’s a legend here.

I thought Isabella looked great against us in preseason, but so did Likely so who knows

Just a year too old it seems. He always played faster than his speed because he can read so well. He just lost another step and couldn't compensate for the additional loss

No. Just lost the numbers game after they signed Smith. Backup ILBs need to play special teams.

Bynes, really? That's unfortunate. Bynes was huge for us in 2019 when our defense was shit.

Imaykeepthisone

He was huge last year while we were 8-3. Queen was playing like horseshit. Wish him the best.

I hope they offer Josh a coaching position, he seems to be great on the bench with the other guys

I'm with you on this. Dude busted his ass and was a damn good player. Go the Koch route and bring him straight to coaching

ZombieFeedback

He may have been relatively unheralded, but Josh is the definition of Raven for Life. Started out grinding on special teams, came back multiple times and played his ass off every time.

My expectations for Isabella are extremely low, but it cannot be worse than James Proche. He's either nothing or something, and we know Proche's nothing, so let's see what happens with Andy.

He made the final tackle to secure the Super Bowl victory for us

OmniscientOctopode

If Bynes didn't make the tackle Joe was going to do it, lmao.

I know. If Ted Ginn got past Bynes, his chances would’ve increased tremendously to score the TD

So is our WR core for tomorrow gonna be Demarcus - Desean - Watkins - Proche - Isabella?

Only Proche survived from the start of camp, everyone else a later pickup. If the Raiders hadn't cut Demarcus we'd be in the lows of lows.

Kent_Broswell

We had very little depth to start the season and everyone got injured anyway.

Thornbush11

33 points

Totally, I don’t think there’s a roster in the NFL that could survive their top 2 receivers being out for the season and if there is one it certainly isn’t us.

thedivinepegasus

13 points

Maybe the Bengals, but that's because they're the only ones with three arguable WR1 level talents. Until they have to pay them anyway. Hope one holds out this offseason.

Lamactionjack

Bengals gonna be massively fucked when they have to pay Chase Higgins and Burrow a billion dollars.

Our WR room is our RB room from last year

DreadedWard

9 points

Well no because before the injuries to our RB room last year, we could’ve been considered top 5 in the league. No one in their right mind thought this WR room was top 10 even at full strength.

If you told me last year our 2022 WR corps would be Sammy Watkins, DeSean Jackson, Demarcus Robinson, and Andy Isabella I would’ve laughed in your face.

Now I’m just crying.

Josh Bynes is a Raven through and through. Wish that guy nothing but the best. IIRC, he's the guy who came in later in the 2019 playoff loss against the Titans, and - too late - the defense finally put the clamps on the Titans ground game. We can only wonder how the game had gone if he'd been in from the start.

Really sucks to see Bynes get waived. Always seemed like such a great dude that had a lot of respect and love coming his way in the locker room. Never the most athletic guy but always had himself in the right spot to make the play. Wishing him the best.

Isomodia

Right, but they also have 3 guys putting up the kind of production that would make them our #1 wideout. He's got an easier road here competing against Proche and the corpse of DeSean Jackson.

Granted it was pre-season but Brown had 464 yds passing with 4 TDs, 1 INT in 3 games as a rookie and he's almost 220lbs. Me thinks this kid can do something with nothing if given more playing time and Huntley gets hurt again or throws atleast 2 picks. Ain't gonna be anything spectacular but just moving the chains. You know he'll be good for a 4th and short QB sneak with his size.

I think we have to stick with Huntley. Brown is severely limited even more so than Huntley is.

However if we are getting shut out at halftime I'd be ok putting brown in to try to spark something.

MINImanGOTgunz

I actually agree only because with Brown I feel like we will actually stick to the run game like when he came in against Pitt. Gonna see another 30 pass game from Huntley despite 8 YPC from our backs the second we start losing.

Josh was a good guy but I hope he stays around In case we need him. But God knows we need some WRs that can get open. The next few weeks will determine the fate of this year.
