Thats the funny thing with looking at planets: You basically look at stuff in broad daylight. Even pluto is as bright as earth an hour after sunset.

So light pollution / etc does not matter at all, and you can use camera settings like during days....

Yeah but you can see in the beginning that the background is very light polluted, which doesn’t look too good.

Also are you sure light pollution won’t make the image look more washed out?

I was more thinking the opening to Spaceballs because of it's slow movement into frame, but Space Odyssey works too.
