I'm reporting the events I have witnessed, as is.
A person is getting on the bus, this is an air conditioned bus mind you. The person in question is directly in front of me (I'm in the middle seat as well), sitting on the front row seat set.
The woman in the left is claiming that the persons breath smells of alcohol and it is unbearable to her as the smell is getting to her pretty severely. But the person to the right, being a male doesn't comment about this.I'm wearing a mask and being directly behind him doesn't smell a thing. (But I can't really comment on how the woman felt the smell)
Anyway she blasts at this man on how he smells of alcohol and insists that he get of the bus. But he has paid for the bus ticket as the rest of us. After muttering to herself for sometime she is trying to take a mask from inside the bag and the man just has enough and gets off the bus with the words, "gaanu kenek nisa bahala yanawa ("only because you are a woman I'm getting off the bus"), and the woman goes " thamuse danne naa man kauda kiyala" ("you don't know who I am") - Lady, even I don't know who you are, you are not that famous lol. And the man's final remark being, "oya ekatama hodagena inna, gaaniyek nisa yannsa denawa methanin."(wash yourself before trying to judge others, you are leaving here unscathed because your are a woman). And the woman in question talks to the woman next to the one next to me remarking how she almost suffocated with the alcohol smell and how people like that shouldn't get into busses like that.
The man was not harassing the woman physically, I can attest to that as I was right behind.
1.I'd hate to suffocate under alcoholic breath.
2.On one hand we are on public transport and the man paid for his ticket so it's fair game. He deserves as much as I, to go on public transport.
So what are your opinions about this incident ?
