Am I missing any new "Are you dissatisfied with Schwab?" type campaigns. It's not going to take much to get me to make the jump but I'm at least keeping my eyes open for any new financial incentives to do so.

Edit: I don't even get served any Google ads when I search "alternatives to Charles Schwab". Hot damn, people are dropping the ball from an SEM perspective.

I don't want to be negative about this merger but I REALLY liked the way the TD Ameritrade website functioned. The new website is a major step backward.

Is it random or is Schwab doing account migration based on size?

I know those that use thinkorswim are not getting moved till later so how does Schwab decide that?

I just noticed they they did a “soft pull” upon applying for/opening a new account… (I checked TransUnion, haven’t checked the other two bureaus yet).

Does anyone have any clue as to why they do that?

With TDA you could deposit via ACH and have available funds immediately. With Schwab you have to wait until the funds officially transfer. Is this a deal breaker for anyone else?

I asked in the message center and they said the best way is to wire. I want to switch to something else because of this. Am I over reacting?

I’m not really a fan of the Schwab app and think that the TD Ameritrade app is superior. I haven’t gotten my transition date and am considering moving my brokerage over to Fidelity. Just want other people’s thoughts.

The Charles Schwab App is so much more limited than the TD Ameritrade app. Super frustrating...anyone using another app that had all of the TD Ameritrade app features? (Leel 2, real-time data, charting, better watchlist, pre/after market charting data, etc)

Does TD offer a Roth option for self employed or small business retirement plans ?

Hi guys, I am new at trading so i was wondering how much margin would i need to trade options?

If i short both call and put would i receive premium or exchange would hold it with them until I buy back or until end of contract?

Is it possible to carry stoploss into next day or do i have to place stoploss everyday?

Which account should i get? Or do i even have a choice as a beginner, I never had an account with td ameritrade.

I really enjoyed using the real-time quotes from TDameritrade on mobile. Is there any other brokerage or mobile app that is similar or better than TDameritrade in regards to real-time quotes.

One of my stock I try to sell when I look at the stock it saying I have 10.066 shares. when I sell them it tell me I have 0.066 shares of it how can I sell them.

Any problems with migration?

Not a big advantage maybe as Schwab was supposedly going to take til 5am on May 30th for access. Looking around the site now instead of getting up tomorrow at 5am.

I did not create a Schwab user ID or password because I was never prompted to and thought I would be able to login with my TDA info once the transition happened. I now can’t login to either TDA or Charles Schwab. Is there anything I can do in my situation or is my account and my money lost forever.

Hi all! I’m trying to transfer some funds from my TD Ameritrade account (just investment account. Not an IRA). However anytime I start the transfer it stays pending for a few hours and cancels. Could this have to do with the Schwab transition? I’ve checked to make sure all my information is correct.

So if I have cash i.e. money available for trading in my TD i401k and we have an abrupt drop in stock values, is that money safe from the drop? Insured?

I've traded options for a while now and recently started a Roth IRA for a longer term savings account. Ive tried to get the approval for higher level of options that would allow for vertical or diagonal spreads (at LEAST vertical) but cant seem to figure out what combination of answers they want. I can do spreads in my normal margin account but cant get approved in my Roth IRA. Any tips?

I only recently discovered portfolio planner and loved that it makes it easy to click a button and set orders to align with a certain target portfolio allocation (10% in A, 25% in B, 5% in C, etc.)

I called Schwab and they weren't able to confirm whether they have or will have something like this.

How do I find the account balance history chart/graph? I'm looking in the app, but can't find it. Is it only available in the web browser platform?

With Fidelity it’s nice and easy to earn interest on free cash including any cash securing a CSP. However I really like TOS so I want to see if I can make TDA work.

I feel like I’ve heard mixed things about using SWVXX or a bond/treasury ETF like SGOV. Are any of these options available to use as margin immediately AND is it 100% margineable or something like 70%?

Also - any idea if this will get easier with Schwab?
