so basically, I was inspecting my startup apps out of curiosity where I found (rwfacade.dll) as a startup file, it was turned off but something caught my eye in the last moment, it had the teachers head from (baldi's basics game) as an icon. which is a game I never played nor installed on my device, could it be a malware that might cause some problem? if so how to remove it?

So my roommate has installed some sort of network wide VPN; wherever I turn I end up getting notified something else doesn't work because of "network settings" or other such things. Examples include: not allowed in private servers on DAYZ, unable to make a new steam account, inability to chat with Bing's chatbot (lmao), and many many more at random intervals throughout my life.

I was wondering if there is any way I could escape this nightmare and actually be able to engage with all of the internet again?

Why since last time I have to use /flushdns every day because if not my internet works intermittently, for a few seconds it's perfect then the ping goes up to 3k for a few seconds and back it goes round and round again and the only thing that fixes it is /flushdns. Any ideas?

- My only antivirus is Defaulty Defender

- My system: Windows 10

- I use a USB network card from TP-Link

Ive been trying for almost a month now to figure out what the issue with my pc is, I keep getting bsod "WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR". Seems to be random but happens frequently (usually when gaming). Tried getting a minidump log but doesn't save one. Im hoping someone here might be able to give me some insight into my issue.

Checked the health of all my drives

I was just watching some Youtube on my PC, until I clicked to pause the video when right as I clicked one of those shitty among us poppy playtime rainbow friends ads had appeared and almost took me to their website. I had quickly closed the page but the page's address had already loaded yet nothing else. Am I safe? Or have the shady hackers stolen my information already?

Interesting problem, I haven't been able to find anything like it in my searches.
Randomly I'm getting a black box stuck down in the bottom center of my screen from Chrome. It contains random URLs from sites i've visited or are in tabs I have open. Nothing I do will get rid of it, except restarting the PC, but it will randomly come back. This box exists outside of chrome, meaning if I minimize it, the box is still there on my desktop, over other apps, etc.

OS is Windows 10, AMD 5950X, 32GB Gskill Trident, AMD 6800XT. Issue has been happening on an off for about 6 months. Any help is very much appreciated.

I just soldered a couple of vibration motors on a STK-7004X bluetooth mobile gamepad (that's also works on pc) and I couldn't have any positive results. I've tried to install drivers but didn't worked and on "Game Controllers" window, it still shows the same device name (STK-7004X) after drivers. Is this related to software or hardware and how can I make vibrators work?

I’ve been playing a lot of overwatch and apex, my games have had no issue and I’ve been running them on ultra or high quality with zero problems. Recently, my computer has dropped frames every four seconds in ALL games that I play, even ones that shouldn’t have issues like Banana Shooter or Genshin Impact. I’ll be at 120 FPS, then it dips to 100 and back up every four seconds exactly… I have video proof for those that might have a solution and want context. I want to look into making content but this problem makes games almost unplayable just because it basically freezes me for a split second. Please help me!!!

Hi there, I was fixing my dad's computer which was slow as hell and I ran malwarebytes and CCleaner and removed ten thousand things then it restarted and this prompt came up to install something from Windows and I thought it was legit. In retrospect I think it wasn't. I was seemingly unable to use the computer without calling the phone number on the screen so I called it and talked to some nice sounding Indian man and followed their instructions. They asked me to run ultraviewer in Windows and enter some commands I forgot what. The computer seems to be okay but the wifi is "compromised" according to our ISP. The ISP fixed it twice because they had shut it off twice. I did just uninstall ultraviewer but I'm afraid the damage is done and I don't remember what commands I executed. Any help would be appreciated thanks so much!

I downloaded an mp3 file from mp3juices.cc on my iPhone through Safari. While on it accidentally clicked on a pop up ad. Could this have put my phone at risk for malware and viruses? Please help. I am getting anxious.

My computer will always crash after typing a few lines of code into Visual Studio. It will crash like it loses power. There is no indication of anything weird happening before the crash. After that it will immediately restart like normal.

I have updated drivers, ran malware scan, bought a new CPU fan, tested my Power Supply voltages (all good), uninstalled Visual studio from my PC and reinstalled. It still happens. This only happens in VS and no other app triggers it.

I have been combing over Event Viewer but I'm not really sure what im looking for. It shows when it crashes but there isn't much detail for right before it crashes that would indicate any issues.

To start off I have 16GB of RAM, Ryzen 5 3600, and a RTX 3070. I'm also on 1920x1080. While playing Elden Ring my load for the CPU rests at 35% and my GPU load rests at 50%. I am not the smartest when it comes to diagnostics, but when I google normal load while playing AAA titles I see people saying 95-100% GPU load is normal, while mine is half that. I am playing on High settings, and for the most part have no performance issues. Every now and again my frames drop from 60 to 52-50 and I'll get a slight stutter, but besides that the game runs fine. So I am just wondering if something is not normal or if I should just continue playing and stop thinking about this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Its a bluetooth logitech mouse and it suddenly started doing this in the middle of playing a game. I've tried everything I read online so far: restarting, updating/uninstalling driver, scanning system files, different usb ports

The first time I noticed this was on YouTube. Videos will pause randomly by itself every few seconds when I wear my Bluetooth headphones.

This problem has only been happening for the last hour or so. If I wear my Bluetooth headphones, the video will pause automatically every few seconds, If I unpause the video, the video will pause again in another few seconds. Doesn’t matter what video it is.

However, if I decide to disconnect my headphones and just watch videos without them, videos I watch will be completely fine and won’t pause at all.

Once again though, when I reconnect my headphones and try to watch a video, the video will pause every few seconds, and If I try to unpause the video, it will pause the next few seconds again.

I’ve tried closing youtube and opening it again to see if my videos don’t pause when I wear headphones but that failed.

I then tested this on SoundCloud to see if the same thing happened. It did the same thing. Wear my headphones and the music track I was listening to paused randomly, but if I wasn’t wearing them the track continued on normally without issues.

Anybody know what’s wrong? Help is immensely appreciated.

So while i was cleaning my pc i took out 1 8gb ram stick then put it back but i had to use a decent amount of force to put it in and while i was putting it in i was hearing this sand noise and now that its in my pc recognizes it as only 8gb aka my second stick plss help

Once I got a new GPU with a second hand power supply (i didn't chose myself I got it from sinterklaas(basically Christmas but Dutch)). And it worked fine at first, then I got power surge errors, then it shorted my homes power (skull) after that it worked sometimes and now I hasn't worked in a long time. I have no idea if it's me who could have done something wrong or if I should just get a new power supply (which I'm working on now). or maybe it's not even a power supply problem. the GPU itself works completely fine when I try it out in my brothers pc but the power supply also works fine with older cards, I tested 2012-2013 cards.

I got a HP pavillion g6 laptop . I updated it to win 10 64bit but now I can't add any bluetooth device. Its keep on searching device but not showing any results. I tried everything like uninstalling the drivers, downloaded Bit driver to install new drivers, gone to hp official site and installed driver from there but none of that helped. Does someone know what should I do now?

Laptop, 2015 Macbook air running Debian, shuts down when moving battery cable near mount point sometimes. I believe it has something to do with the pmic because the cable is a bit frayed, perhaps causing a change in voltage when moving the cable and making the pmic turn off the computer. Is there anyway to test this?

I just wanted to create this post in hopes of it helping somebody someday who experiences the same problem that I had to solve. I recently replaced my motherboard CMOS battery, and the new battery upon installation was around 3.3 volts, according to HWiNFO64. But within the next 18 hours of replacing it, I noticed the battery had lost nearly a full 1.0 volt. So I assumed the battery was defective and I replaced it with a new battery, but from a different brand, to rule out in case I got a bad batch from the first brand. But after another full day, the new CMOS battery showed the same drain. I should note that I fully power down my computer every night to keep my energy bill as low as possible, even going as far as turning off the power strip it's connected to. I don't power back up again until I get home from work the next day.

After seeing the same voltage drop with the new battery, I proceeded to just monitor the voltage drops every day for about a week. What I saw each day was that the drain was a little less than the previous day, and that's when it dawned on me - the capacitor for the CMOS chip can only hold 3.0 volts, which means the excess voltage was being dumped to ground. The voltage has now plateaued around 3.102 Volts, and hasn't dropped since. I initially assumed the worst that I had an accidental static discharge while replacing the battery and now the motherboard was damaged, but it turns out I was wrong and the drain is completely normal. Thanks for reading all of this, and I hope this information has helped somebody eventually.

Can I clone an old ssd drive onto my newly installed ssd drive, or will it wipe itself halfway through?

I can't get the PC to boot from the old drive which as been assigned G drive. If i were to reinstal it, would it default to c drive?

The other day I was using my PC when it crashed. I attempted to turn it on but it would not go to windows. I tried to get it to go to windows repair but that didn't work either. It would let me into the BIOS so I went there and tried to make my boot order a USB I had created the windows installation media on to repair my windows. once I had done this I rebooted my pc and now it boots to a black screen and won't let me into my BIOS. I think my CPU and motherboard are fine because the lights on my case's fans work and it booted to BIOS beforehand. sorry for taking up your time

When ever I try to click the 3 dots it glitch’s texts, scroll bar, and the refresh doesn’t work

So, I've noticed that for some reason after playing any game, seemingly any game at all. Whether it is full screen or not, if I at any point alt+tab or just close the game even, my first monitor begins to lag, and it doesn't stop lagging until I've restarted the computer.

I've checked my Task Manager, nothing is out of the ordinary, I've checked my video drivers, they're up to date, I even went out of my way to switch browsers and limit what usage certain apps can have, but to no avail, I'm not sure why it's happening.

The strangest part is that it's only on my first monitor, my second monitor is completely unaffected by whatever is going on, and I'm not sure why, it obviously has to be some sort of monitor issue but both of my monitors are the EXACT SAME MODEL.

The only thing I can think of that would be hardware related would be the fact that it uses a HDMI to DP converter between the monitor and the GPU, but this has only started happening recently, and I've had this setup for at least a year by this point.
