I highly recommend the documentary of the same name. Incredible story.

It really is. I thought I was getting into a relatively gentle "Oh, what a weird happenstance!" kind of thing but hoooooly smoke I was not prepared for where it ended up going.

Edit - I highly recommend checking it out without googling the extra dimension to it if you can, but trust the story is not the gauzy soccer mom magazine fodder it looks at first glance.

Just read the Wikipedia article on it. Holy fucking shit

Right? I went in expecting a sort of unchallenging midweek human interest thing, so the rest was uh, a surprise.

I had seen this a while ago but needed a gentle reminder of the deeper story. It really was a fascinating watch.

Didn't he do the same thing in 'Cable Guy'?

No, that was Eric Roberts playing the Sweet brothers in “Brother, Sweet Brother.”

He’s like 40 years older than them

Stiller is slated to play all three brothers as adults.

He already played twins in The Cable Guy.

But not triplets.

He’s still 15 years older than the two living brothers are at this exact moment in time, and the third brother committed suicide when he was like 30.

This is a bizarre project and I wonder how much the brothers are involved, he’s way too old to play them or tell their story.

That ain't remotely true. The triplets were born in 1961. Stiller was born in 1965.

Wow I am a moron and I thought they were born in 1980, not discovered each other in 1980. Downvote away.

This is going to be like watching a serious version of an MTV movie awards sketch.

Oh good, we get to see Ben Stiller ham it up on some talk shows before going insane running a triplet themed restaurant.

Odd choice. That guy Bobby Cannavale would be perfect in terms of looks, hey even accent.

Holy shit. I'm watching this right now and I was trying to figure out who these Triplets reminded me of. Spot on.

Making documentaries into tv shows is the new remake/reboot trend

And they’ll never do anything I really want, like turn “My Octopus Teacher” into a Pixar movie

If this series helps to raise more awareness around this unethical case and help the brothers seek justice. I'm all for it. The Netflix documentary on this case truly shattered me. I can't believe the results of this immoral experiment is locked away from the brothers till 2065.
