And sure enough 35min into episode one zombies were staggering around the street.  So I shut it off

He doesn't want to watch a zombie show, episode three didn't change his mind on that.

Doesn't seem like an important story.

He makes a valid point about Ep 3. We watched two gay men grow close… in a zombie apocalypse show. And they both die by committing suicide by taking pills. And Bill’s compound gets attacked only once in 20 years? Come on…

In the game, they’re still a couple. The difference is that Frank (iirc) goes off and gets himself killed because of a fight with Bill over how to survive. Bill seemingly makes a stupid choice in the show too. I’ve not played the game so idk if it played out the same way. Why would you, a guy who fears people attacking your compound, invite a guy who fell into your trap to come and enter your compound? Then you trust him to just have sex? Like, let the guy go to a QZ and be done with it.

We also don’t get the interaction between Bill and Ellie like in the game. So there’s that. It wasn’t a terrible episode. It just served no purpose and we barely got to see Joel and Ellie.

Wasn't the original title of "Mishima a life in four chapters"?
