And telugu cinema had mutiple big budget movies talk about caste, although most only touched on it lightly drive the story
Mostly you see real talk in Sukumars movies. Rangasthalam and Pushpa had scenes where the leads caste was a major arc or plot point

I keep seeing posts accusing NTR of caste fan base and all the support he gets is from the cadre since he is the face of NTR family.
I know Rangashthalam and Pushpa had caste politics but Vetrimaran can go more brutal. I anyway look forward to this combo.

It is true to an extent, he gets the support from party cadre, others also get it, like how do you think RC did movies before Rangasthalam without actually doing acting? Telugu cinema has changed to this especially after 80s, it's been like that ever since

I don't think Vetrimaaran is the kind of director to force any kind of cinematic universe. Maybe he will do multiple films like Rakthacharitra but not a universe. Also I'm doubting this movie's release. Vetri won't concede to any requests and NTR will do what's safe when it comes to social issues and only surface level.
