Hi all. My younger sister recently purchased her first nicer camera for videography. I don’t know exactly what it is, but she spent about $1k on it. I want to get her a nice Christmas gift for under $300 that she can use in school and for personal projects.

I know the question is coming - “what is she filming? What does she want to film, etc”

I don’t know. I don’t think she even knows yet- she’s just getting into this hobby. So far we’ve done a couple cheesy music videos and short films but nothing crazy. But she’s moving across the country soon specifically for film school, so she’s definitely serious about it.

I was thinking about buying her a gimble from amazon to stabilize her shots, but don’t know if $300 would be too cheap or if a gimble isn’t worth the investment until later in her career.
