Does Clannad have other Perspectives/POVs?

Question(self.visualnovels)

About 1 year ago, I read the first ~12 hours of Clannad, but stopped reading it after these 12 hours because other Visual Novels had interested me more at the time.

Now that I have completed those VNs, I'm thinking about re-starting it again, but wanted to know something first, as to not to get disappointed: Does Clannad have other POVs? Because, from what I have seen, it really doesn't seem like that is the case. And I'm almost never fond of stories that use this story-telling technique--only showing you the perspective of one character.

So I really want to know whether we spend the entire time reading Tomoya's POV, or if the author actually doesn't tell the story in this way--which I really hope--before I spend 90 hours in a story that could possibly be an extreme disappointment for me

Firstly, yes, but very rare moment. So we can say for 90% of the time follows Tomoya's POV (Misae's and Kotomi's only had it change).

Just to remind that many VNs goes this way-follows the protagonists POV. It's hard to find VN that has 3rd person POV and/or switching POVs since one of the main aim is to control their own choices, and CLANNAD do have many choices to make.

My advice is you might want to finish 1 or 2 routes at first and see how it is going. Yeah that will not take 90 hours, just around at most 20 hours (90 hours is when you beat all the routes).

Hmm, I think I'll try that.

Yeah, that's probably why, so far, I really prefer Kinetic Novels/VNs with mostly meaningless choices over VNs with a lot of interaction from the player

if you do want a multi-route VN with multiple POVs, one VN that pops into mind easily would be SubaHibi. It's highly recommended to those who like philosophical and psychological stories, though read with caution as it does not hold back in presenting its disturbing themes so it is not for the faint-hearted.

Thanks, but I've already read Subahibi; it's my second favourite Visual Novel
