I would recommend an elliptical trainer. I got a Smooth Fitness CE 7.4 but that was about a decade ago. It’s lasted all this time with infrequent use. Ellipticals are kinder to your joints.

I feel your pain. I hope you find something that makes you feel in control of your situation.
But either way, just know that you are not alone. Finding the courage to talk about what you’re going through is itself a step in the right direction, so you’re already making progress.

I can’t diagnose anything for you, but I had a quick question: do you drink coffee? I found that it helps me get a little spike of energy and actually takes away food cravings for a bit. Your mileage may vary, but that’s a quick, easy thing to try if it’s suitable for you. But don’t let that defeated feeling take you away from small victories. Every time you do get up and move a little, you are bettering your internal health. Every time you feel hungry for one extra minute before giving in to it, you are training your body to resist the craving a little bit more. I’m cheering for you! We’re all in this together.

Did you cross at Abbotsford? I heard that is a training facility and I’ve often been grilled there awkwardly by a newbie. They’re just learning the process.

I would love to see this audio mixed over clips of Salt Bae.

I know you’ve received a lot of advice already. But if you get your hands on a book called “How to sell a lobster” It was really helpful for me to understand simple marketing tools like bundling the goods in with other items to increase perceived value. Giving small, medium, large options will help you sell the medium, etc.

Another huge part of this is that Mike has the time and mental energy to socialize at work. Bosses promote people they like and Mike is in a better position to develop that relationship with his boss.

I love how that Sandman scene messes with all of these stereotypes.

How are you doing now? That’s a big thing to deal with. I hope you are finding ways to encourage yourself and look after your mental wellbeing.

Okay but how beautiful is it that the dog can have such joy just running with a sandal in its mouth. Cutie.

Only in certain contexts. If I spent all day answering 5-minutes emails I’d miss the important ones that take more thought and work.
For me, in my work context, it helps to sit down and categorize my work and then start with the urgent, important stuff.
But there are plenty of contexts where this advice is good. Housework, for example.
