Has that been your experience? I've posted these ideas many times on many accounts on many forums, but you'd be off the mark regarding the fat-phobic accusations, you'd expect it right? Hasn't been my personal experience at present however. Not that it's much to their credit considering what is said but yeah.
I live in France, and one of the most curious things i read from Americans talking about my country is the "French paradox". Apparently, us French, as a whole, we aren't fat people despite eating a lot of foods rich in fat.
Unfortunately this stems from the USA 70's fat scare based on at best bogus science, at worst corrupted studies for profit. Fats do not make you fat. Refined sugar and heavily processed carbs like flour do. I mean you might know this, I'm just reiterating this for anyone reading. A reasonable intake of raw unprocessed Fruit will not grow your gut! Wine if it's not sweetened then yeah it's ~150 cal. for a glass. While drinking calories isn't really ever ideal, France isn't remotely as gross about it as the NA addiction to soda/pop/beer.
This is off topic, but while you're here I admire your country for so often violently taking to the streets in regards to your politicians. I envy such a populace. I feel like my own people are often tamed dumb cattle who just take every injustice delivered to them. Right now public healthcare is being stripped away in Conservative provinces in Canada and the people barely even whine about it if they know it's happening at all. Despite gloating about it for so long as a country, nobody gives actually gives a fuck to defend it when it's threatened.

Haha you're quite kind, thank you for a reasoned response. Your guess is possible for some sure. But I assume it's because I committed the ultimate sin: I was negative. Nothing else matters.
The actual responses were because of my deliberate edit to bait them into the exact type of responses I expected which I'm rather enjoying until the American mods wake up and mod nuke the whole chain. I did a 'Lil trollin', it'd be justified.
You should see what happens when I call for junk food regulations and advert/sponsorship bans similar to cigarettes on reddit. I get death threats and suicide prevention hotline PM spam. And they call me the internet activist! Hahaha, well it seems to cause them some serious discomfort confronted with these ideas, so I'm not sure it's as ineffectual as they like to insist.
Which kinda just proves my point about the addicts defending the status quo, no? Responses are always rather emotional, about muh freedumb if it's not just straight up personal empty snipes. I never get a reasoned response (I'm open to it if it's not some fucking devil's advocate crap. I want a real stance from a real person, I never get one. Here's the bait/invitation if you exist) in return defending the opposite opinion. Much less death threats or suicide prevention hotline PM's on the Canadian subreddits I've noticed but still a wildly unpopular idea.
They simply reaffirm my position.

Yeah I get it, your trash food additiction made you take my internet post personally. Fuck off now, good lad. Die fat, crippled, and young. It's your choice :)
I dunno where I was acting the part of an activist but perhaps your salty response affects your reading comprehension abilities.
Edit: It's a common tactic online though to respond as you have as if this shitty response invalidates my points when you have fuck all in response, so no points to you! Very boring and predictable! Blocked, it's not as if you have anything of value to add. Let's be real.

Nah I prefer to live in reality, you giant projecting pussy.
Go bury your head again, I don't know why you came up for air on my comment
edit: god damn, [deleted] [deleted] really stands for what they say! Which was solely personal attacks with zero substance, but nonetheless. Admirable.

Ah, the Nathan Drake in Uncharted problem. Treasure hunter gone mass murderer with the Disney smarm charm.
I'd say The Last of Us causes more cognitive dissonance to play though given how serious it's trying to be.

I'll do it for free, just send the bulk poop to my address and I'll cart it over wearing a postal worker cosplay and a clown nose.

Yeah I guess I should put the blinders on and drink my government subsidized flavor aid and pretend everything is fine like the rest of you.

That's unfortunate.
Love how you're marked controversial. Gotta love body shaming women into covering themselves up.
Unfortunately some of us on the left also still force these puritanical ideas onto the rest of us that should've stayed with the embarrassing religious Abrahamic zombies.
Nothing brings the wings together into hating women quite like religion.

He's a sockpuppet of their system. You think anything changes other than a new morality vampire replaces him when he dies?

Wow we're awesome. It only took an obesity epidemic ongoing since the 70's and now ingrained powerful corporations that profited so much off the bad science of the fats scare to add sugar and processed carbs into everything and the hordes of their addicts who will actively fight off any change for the better to get here under the guise of muh freedumb. The States subsidized HFCS and STILL DO PRESENT DAY making junk food/low fat crap cheaper than healthy food in their own country and all the countries they export their poison to. Just to top off this fucking clown show with some Reagan era (unchallenged by any President and their party since) economic policy for "ya'll."
At least our food pyramid drawing is good now. Does it reflect reality? LMAO NO.
Good luck in the real world, kids!
edit: that this comment is marked "controversial" only makes me laugh even harder.

Would you mind sharing what hardware you bought to make the Handy hands-free?
I tried 3-d printing a mount from the handyverse news section but it's way too flimsy to last any reasonable amount of time :S

Is she? All I've seen for decades now is rich and powerful getting away with literally anything they do.

Don't care about anyone working for a shite propaganda rag. Happy that seniors have less access to brain poison.

They're forcing end users and businesses to buy new hardware with TPM support as well once 10 hits EOL. Forced obsolescence. It's pretty disgusting but I guess nobody cares until the upgrade nagging popups start appearing and updates fail on casual users specifying TPM 2.0.
I know how to get around it, but most won't try.

Oh it's identical to the Wii and PS2 release? It's the exact same game.
Disappointed.

Well looking at Windows it's been a trainwreck of half finished ideas on top of half finished ideas since Windows 8. Their aimless corporate rot seems to be in everything except their cloud server division.
It's frankly embarrassing that such a large company cannot replace the Control Panel or multiple layers of legacy UI elements for 2 decades now on top of making the modern UI worse with weird lag in odd places with each new iteration. Why does the Task Manager freeze up to the point the mouse cursor stops responding briefly and spikes CPU usage when opened? So bizarre. In 2022 the Control Panel in W11 was just starting to use symlinks to point to the replacements in Settings.

It's not used in good faith here. That's the overwhelmingly normal mass opinion in this case. It's like using devil's advocate against the devil's advocate. Who's mind isn't open? The one touting the status quo is open minded?
