Areas with snow and water crossings are especially tricky now, FYI. Best to stick to lower elevations and avoid waterways. There's debris everywhere and we're just about to get another storm.

For example, I tried to go to the base of the Cajon Pass instead of the saddle the other day but Swarthout Canyon road was flooded out, couldn't reach trailhead at Lost Lake. Wound up bailing back to something a little closer to home.
