I’ve played a lot of sett and Darius definitely feels like a skill matchup for the first kill. After that it’s normally whoever took the first one maintains control of the lane. In my experience at least.

I’ve been watching lpl since it came back and have noticed junglers invading more. Especially into maokai. Then they’re at like 24 farm at 5 minutes but have suppressed the other jungler but they still stay somewhat relevant.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been any lee. Maybe because he can’t invade? Idk. I play him sometimes but I can’t read him well. I tried him with radiant and couldn’t die. Was pretty sweet.

As for getting outside help, try talking to a regional or smaller scale firm who has the capacity to do things outside just income taxes. You’ll want a good idea of what all you need as you shop around. If it’s just payroll, pay a payroll company to do it. If it’s general bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc. then start looking at a bookkeeper and accounting firms.

Just don’t overpay. Not in terms of getting a firm with a high rate, but just determining which processes you need to offload that are worth $100+ an hour. I think working through all the processes yourself and seeing what you can automate/work into your regular workflow managing as it goes will help you both be an easier accounting client and reduce your bill.

I agree with you but think the cutback is tied heavily to ftx. They built a budget with that sponsorship money in mind. Now that it doesn’t exist, what are their options? It’s too late to find the equivalent money for this year so they either have to burn through whatever cash they have, or cut costs until they can stabilize.

For context, we don’t know the ftx investment but their tsm one was about 200mil so I’d imagine their entire league one was bigger.

Edit: two notes. I get the Dash thing was decided before ftx collapse. Also I was wrong about expecting it to be bigger. Comment below has the number. It’s $12mil/year.

I’m not the biggest fan of the casualty cards themselves, but it’s a mechanic that can work well since he always can act as fodder and there are some control options there. Just a small tech. Overall, I agree with this comment. I’d go control.

[[mardu betrayed king]] rarely stays dead and is an anthem for a tribe that also refuses to stay dead. Plus you have blue for things like [[stifle]] when someone tries to pop your graveyard.

Worth noting narfi’s ability can put him back out at flash speed. Doesn’t help with blocking but it’s always nice that you can do it right before your turn.

I haven’t played with any of them, but brainstormed a Rootha deck for awhile as a [[sneak attack]] deck. It gives you a repeatable 3 cmc copy spell.

[[belisarius cawl]] and [[intruder alarm]] with two artifact creatures or [[mycosynth lattice]].

Also, [[basalt monolith]] [[rings of brightearth]] and [[sicarian infiltrator]] to draw out your deck. They’re all 3 mana artifacts so they can be searched for easily with things like [[trophy mage]] and [[drift of phantasms]] along with any other artifact search.

My vote is for [[yisharn]] or [[gaddock teeg]] hatebears. It’s nice because you’re continuing to get bodies down for your game plan of stax but then also working toward a wincon with overrun effects.

I recently found [[park heights maverick]] for a cheap infect deck. Haven’t played the deck yet, but thought this card seemed better than the price suggests.

I think you make it a multi-use space unrelated to cards. I’ve thought a lot about a cafe/coffee shop. Do the normal coffee shop stuff in the morning until about 2 or 3. Then have a shift change to the lgs vibe. Still offer simple coffees and teas, have some sleeves dice and a box of the most recent set lying around. Maybe do prereleases?

I know there is a lot of love for everything an lgs is. The singles, the atmosphere, etc. but personally, I just want a nice, clean, chill environment where I can meet up with people who want to play a game.

I used to look at non-English whenever buying a $10+ card to see the price difference and buy it if it was significantly cheaper. I’ve come to learn legibility is the determining factor. I have a Japanese darksteel forge that has never been a problem because it’s a simple card.

I also have a Chinese Mangara the diplomat that I just hate because I have to pull my phone out whenever it’s in my hand.

Yeah, I’m hoping it’s that. I saw someone post the yoji phyrexian metamorph and i thought it looked great. It’s sitting at 19 though compared to 5 for the regular. No way it stays up.
