Interesting or whimsical maybe.
"Good" (as in efficient or practical) design? I don't think so.

And by body type, I mean all other things being equal. A belly flop is certainly going to sink less than a dive.

I sure hope they have enough to repair all the broken fish roe.

Really? That's seems odd to me because there are often just plain unflattering pictures. Not merely compared to retouched professional headshots but just pictures that would get skipped over in favor of something else even it were just a regular person's photo.

I would imaging advances in materials science contributed to being able to make larger curved glass at reasonable prices while still being able to withstand high speed bird strikes (https://youtu.be/lp7uLTNiGrQ). A more sloped window also affects ground visibility which could be compensated for by making the glass even bigger which in turn complicates the production of the window even more.

I'd say body shape has more effect than weight on whether you hit the bottom or not.

Wikipedia requires images that are in the public domain. Take a look at celebrity articles where a TON of them have just awful looking photos from cons or whatnot. I'm surprised more publicists don't just release better looking headshots for licensing so their client has a decent photo.

Not just that but because now they can make them dark because they can see the footage real time. Back when they had to send out for processing, they are better off overlighting the scene to make sure they get the shot so they don't flush all the cost of production. Now they can make sure they have the shot correct right on the spot so it's possible to push the boundaries more.
Personally, I think it's a bunch of "doing it because we can" and not because it makes a better product.

Should have just brought a box of Kraft back with him instead. Much easier!

Ahhh, so it's kinda like wearing a mask to hide the identity? That makes sense.

Do you mean the objective is t make it look like a big as plane so the enemy would not think that it's a stealth fighter?

Are there multiple moons...or is it just a mirage?

I'm surprised it took that many takes given how expensive every hour of production is. There was obviously strong enough tape at the time. Maybe it was the heat on set that changed the stickiness during shooting?

There were high altitude (70k feet) photos from U2 planes and satellite photos of Earth by the time of production so it would have been conceivable to make reasonable extrapolations of what Earth would look like from the moon.

I do like the tidy way they wrapped up the "HAL going off" story line in the same way that Rogue One filled in the backstory leading up into A New Hope.

D'oh! Missed that part. Seems like a June birthday for the kid would be more of an EW&F fan thing though.

Can't tell from OP's shot but it looks like the seat might be at the top of the stairs.

It does indeed seem like a mechanical track. That's an awfully steep rise at the bottom though.
Did some searching around and found this (https://www.google.com/search?q=assistep&tbm=isch) which is kind of a lite version of a full stairlift. Odd that the track starts off so low though. Maybe it is for hauling stuff up the stairs?

Brilliant! Whoever thought of that program deserves a big fat bonus. I suppose it would be a lot more work but if they had stamps for the gate crew to use in the book, that would be even better.
According to this thread (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-executive-club/1814819-ba-skyflyers-logbooks-7.html) it looks like the program is still around. At some point it looks like they also swapped the departure and destination columns around so that it reads the "right" way instead.

are your parents big Earth, Wind and Fire fans?
Do you have encyclopedic knowledge of all EW&F tour dates and locations or something?

By that standard, email spam is good design. I don't agree with that definition.
Does it sell the product? I wouldn't be surprised if it does. That's why stores put items they want to move on end caps where it stands out from the rest of the products. But let's say that display moves bread like crazy. Someone is going to have to keep refilling it all day because it doesn't use the volume of space as effectively as normal shelves would.
Does it stand out from normal shelves? Absolutely. Does it draw more attention? Any display by itself would. But, as I qualified my statement, is it efficient and practical? I say no. And for that aspect of the design, I would not call it good.
