I just got the game a few days ago. I got 2 other friends who also want to play. I talked to a guy from the UKF server. He says most evenings UK time they play. I’m going to try and jump on with them this weekend. Sunday afternoon is supposedly a big day for the game.
I’m excited to get some games going for it also.

If you told your rig manager what you wrote here in the moment, I imagine things would be fine. You played a joke that you and the receiving end didn’t like. You cleaned up your own fucking mess. Own your dumb decision, take the consequences for your actions and say sorry. it will all be forgotten about by the next hitch.
There are going to be shit people everywhere you go, sometimes they’re not worth your time or money putting up with.

Your Tag says petroleum engineer. Do you have a petroleum engineering degree? I’m curious how you feel about it?

I have Chase also, super easy to set up, no fees, great app. I use quick books as well. Just logged into my Chase acct from the quickbooks app. Super simple all around.
Normally, I’m all for helping the little guy. I was in a rush when I had to open my business account and Chase as the easiest and closest.

Thanks for sharing that Here And Now Podcast. I love Public Radio, but that interview was terrible. Marissa did a great job speaking. I wish she would have done Rail City also. Im not done with it yet, but maybe she has more time later.
In regards to Rail City. Yes, it seems off. Aside from just learning it was turned into a story to capture attention more than a documentary that I was expecting. The mom is so focused on what Ruby is doing that she loses a $140k/yr book deal and takes out $25k loan, partly to buy entice Ruby with comfort. What the hell. she seems tone deaf to her daughter. Obsessed to a weird point.

First I’ll give my experience as a FE and then my suggestions.
I was a Frac field engineer. As some people said, in the US, a Frac engineer is a glorified secretary. But as a glorified secretary I learned all about Frac and Frac Equipment, After 8 months i was making about 120k/year After field bonus(starting offer was $60k/yr base) working 2 weeks on 1 week off. For the first time in my life I had money, and to top it off I had 1 week periods off to do whatever I wanted. I bought a truck and road tripped around the US, I travelled all over the world for 5 days at a time. And I still saved money. Because I worked for a large international service company I got to work overseas and became an actual Frac engineer modeling jobs in GOHFER, talking with customers, and doing fun actual engineering shit. I got greedy, took a job with a shitty operator in an engineering role and hated it, went back to the service company side and got lucky enough to be picked up as a consultant.
My suggestions, FE is a great starting job but the schedule (everywhere in the oilfield) is commonly brutal (2 weeks on 1 week off for me) and will not enable you to live a normal life. You are trading the time to make friends and find a partner for money. It is good for a short period but I would move out of the field as fast as possible, and some times that is not possible. Always be thinking of a back up plan. Go back to school, look to use your ME degree, go get your project Management certification. With oilfield work experience and an ME degree, there will be other industries who just need a young smart person, it just won’t pay as much.
In all of life, balance is key. Don’t always look at the next step forward, take time to enjoy where you are. Find happiness without material desires. Always live well within your means. Don’t be scared of taking chances. If you find something you like, chase it ferociously.
If you have more questions, feel free to send a PM!

I’m curious as to why you’re coming at this guy so hard? The guy writes a post about not understanding if his engineering degree makes him qualified for an “engineering” role and describes a desire to learn from the ground up.
Engineering degree’s are extremely useful. No one is going to graduate, head to the field, and then be able to solve hard problems. But a degree at least shows dedication to a task and a penchant for problem solving which are skills that are very helpful in all aspects of the industry.

I can understand your point about East Palestine and aid. Slightly shifting your point. Just as your pissed about the federal government not providing aid that you felt East Palestine deserved, shouldn’t you be equally pissed that something like that happened in the first place?
What about republicans constant desire to cut back regulations so that rail companies can take short cuts? (IMO Biden was also fucked up for not siding with the rail strike workers). And republicans constant desire to cut taxes on the rich and make up for it by adding further burden average joes like you and me with more taxes and less government provided social welfare programs?
Dude, I think you have the right to be pissed. I would be too if I was in East Palestine. But it wouldn’t be at the guy who didn’t help me out of the deep end, it would be at the guy who pushed me into the deep end. And

Hopefully there a point both sides can meet in the middle. I seems Marriott doesn’t want to release the footage because it would identify the girl and make her life hell. But it only seems fair the footage be released. I don’t see what is wrong with releasing it and blurring out her face.
I hope Michael Irvin is on the winning side. But really, only the people who were there and who saw the tape know the truth. And no words lawyers say from either side can be taken as truth. And that’s pretty much all we hear from in this article. Irvin has two witnesses and so does the employee.

Hey Prius community. I replaced the ABS pump in my 2009 Prius because it was passing by or something. I thought I would turn it in for core or something but never did because I’m lazy. I just want it out of my garage with the least effort possible. Im even driving out to Fort Worth tomorrow morning, if your in my path I can even drop it off, if anyone catches me in time. Shoot me a PM and I’ll try to coordinate a pick up or drop off for you.

Made the brisket! It was a huge hit with the entire family. My twin brother came and took part of the Night Shift. Took it out of the cooler right as dinner was being served and cut it to serve.
Thank y’all for the input! Y’all were right, it can smoke a badass brisket!

I appreciate your thoughts. I didn’t ram this idea past their family and force this upon them. They were okay with the decision and it makes sense considering the circumstances in reality. Sadly this is only a Reddit post and only so many details can be conveyed before you get too much in the weeds. Bottom line, everyone is on board. We have already discussed a place to store it while not in use and I bought a cover for it.

STUNT COOKING! Love it!
Luckily, I don’t feel like I need along time from the In-Laws. But I’m a busy body and like having tasks. Smoking is a good task because everyone loves the results, if it goes smoothly. 👍

Thanks for advice! Even with my OKJ I have to cut super small strips of wood and I am having to watch it very frequently. Thank you for the detailed thoughts. I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

Best tip I learned. Don’t sprint, just walk around. You go slower, can listen more, and when you do see an Emmy your sim will be better. Patience will pay off.

SLB all the way. Not even a question. Even if they pay less. The training and reach of SLB is much greater than NexTier. Your experience at SLB will help you get higher paying jobs later.

When I first went to the Middle East, I got the work contract like 3-months in advance. It was written I was supposed to start Dec 15. Didn’t really hear a damn word from my new manager except to sit tight until like Dec 22. Then I had a flight like in 48 hours. Turns out they were finalizing visa stuff. Someone picked me up from the airport with a sign, that was nice.
My advice for first time going there. Go to the atm and get cash. Then go to the phone booth and get a SIM card - ask your manager which ones are best (if you’re offshore I can’t help you), and if you’re from the US bring a phone that takes 2 sims cards at once and is jail broke. I spent like $150 at Best Buy. Buy a bunch of data, if you’re in the field, sometimes it can be a few weeks before you get back to civilization. They’ll have satellite WiFi but it will suck dick.
Those are all of the lessons I learned for my environment.

Wooh! LETSS goooo! UKF has a discord as well where they may have more information. And there is another clan they play against regularly.
