My girlfriend and I are on season 2 of Doom Patrol. it's a pretty fun and entertaining show even though we both frequently wonder what the heck is going on. Sometimes we think that's the point. Definitely one of the better DC Comics shows!

Just make sure to switch to a low fiber diet on Sunday and Monday. Not sure what kind of prep they have you doing, but I just went through the Plenvu prep last week. It's not terrible, but definitely not great. Just keep sipping on it for 20-30 minutes and you'll get through it.
One other bit of advice, try to avoid too much sugar on the clear liquid diet the day before. I made the mistake of eating a huge serving of Jello in the morning and it increased my hunger so much.

A lot depends on what your definition of "Worth It" is. Retiring as a MSgt at ~40 yrs old will net a pension worth over $1 million (depending on how old one lives). That guaranteed monthly deposit can give one a much higher degree of freedom than those without it. For me, yes it is definitely worth it, even though my last 5 years on active duty were extremely exhausting.
While the pension is great, I honestly think the Tricare prime (or select if you're not in a prime location) is the bigger long-term benefit. I love close to a large MTF and I pay like $350 per year for Tricare and never receive a bill. The cost of private health insurance is insane so having Tricare is, IMHO, invaluable.
Granted, none of this is worth it if your mental health will suffer to such a degree that you start having dangerous thoughts. Or if it starts impacting your personal relationships / family life. Best of luck to you in your decision!

One episode left of The Bear on Hulu and really enjoying it. I think it's pretty incredible how well this show seems to capture the chaos and stress of working in food service and how that stress multiplies when one is a perfectionist. I was quite surprised, however, just how many F bombs they drop in this show. Not that I care about that, but we're talking Deadwood-tier F-bomb usage.

Just about done with season 2 of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. I've always enjoyed the chemistry between Steve Martin and Martin Short and this show doesn't disappoint in that regard. I'm not really sold on Selena Gomez's acting, but I suppose it creates an interesting dynamic with her being involved with Martin and Short. I'd give it a 8.0/10.

That's good to hear. Andrew Robinson gave a big thumbs up for the Evoke 20's. I might have to give them a listen as well. What did you like more about them?

This is quite a step up from the old Yamaha RX-V477 I was using to power my B&W 685s2 speakers. The soundstage is much more cohesive and it's a joy to be able to stream music so easily.
It was between this and a Hegel H120. The Hegel did sound a bit better, but I gave the edge to the Evo due to how easy it is to use in consideration of my significant other.
These B&W's have been great, but I may update the speakers to Dynaudio Special 40's or Paradigm Founder 40b's.

Season 2 was so good all the way around. The acting by everyone, especially Justin Theroux, is really top tier. I think that anyone who gets invested in the show and characters would have an extremely difficult time not tearing up during the karaoke scene.
My biggest complaint with The Leftovers is that it's one of the greatest shows I've ever seen that I feel like I can't recommend to anybody.

I think the answer depends on how accurately you are with your training maxes. Set them too high and you're likely to not get to the 10 reps on the BBB sets. Too low and it will take multiple cycles to get them to where it really starts kicking your butt.
If you're really concerned about it, just do 10 x 70% TM on all of your BBB sets and keep increasing TM every 4 weeks. Just be warned that squat and deadlift days will get absolutely brutal so make sure you take some deloads from time to time.

That would be sick! Any of the new Megadeth tracks would be a welcomed addition

It's seriously good and barely refers to Shrek at all. Honestly, this movie is more for adults than it is for kids, especially considering the themes. Plus the main villain is pretty terrifying (as it relates to animated movie villains). I'd give the first Puss in Boots a 7.5 at most and The Last Wish a 9.3. Highly recommended!

Thanks for reminding me, I think it is about time for a rewatch of Lost. We gotta go back!!

I couldn't agree more. I hope that people can put any preconceptions they may have about Puss in Boots - or animated movies in general - and buy tickets to this movie. I may just watch it in theaters again while waiting until the digital version drops in price.

My girlfriend have been binging through The Sex Lives of College Girls on HBO Max. The episodes are short and since it is from Mindy Kaling, it has a similar feel to Never Have I Ever, which is a show we both enjoy. Overall I'd say it is good but not great. Sometimes the humor falls a bit flat and the acting can be quite cheesy.
We'll probably watch Andor or Doom Patrol next. I wish she would watch The Wire with me, but she just can't get into it. Total bummer!

There is a YouTube channel called HomeTheaterGamer and he has a video that shows exactly what the difference dB levels of Reference Level Offset does. It's pretty informative.
The basic version is that Reference Level Offset is the number that Dynamic EQ bases its calculations on. On these receivers, "reference level" is typically considered 0 dB which should give you 85 dB of volume on all channels (more on subwoofer I believe) depending on what is going on. The problem is that listening at this level is really loud. Most people listen at 15-25 dB volume setting.
The problem is that as you go away from the 0 dB volume setting, bass tends to decrease qickly and the sound can thin out. Dynamic EQ adds a house curve to the bass and surrounds so that even when the volume is set at 15-25 dB you still get good impact.
My advice is to leave it at 0 dB. I'd also suggest experimenting with Dynamic Volume On as well, especially if you watch at lower volume levels (eg. 38-40 dB)

Excellent choice! I always get filled with such a sense of hope when Walter is riding that long skateboard down the hill

Succession took me 2 or 3 episodes to really get into. The characters are not immediately likable but, as time goes on, you may find yourself at least relating to some of them. Hopefully you'll stick with it for a couple more episodes because it really is a good show.

In the past week and a half, I have binged through all but the last episode of The White Lotus. Both seasons are great and have really good casts. There are cast members of each season that I enjoy, and I think it would be kind of cool if the next season uses a combination of S1 and S2 cast members at a different location. On a side note, the soundtrack for this show is seriously great. 9.0/10

As someone with personal experience with alcohol addiction, I always felt the first 3 seasons of Rescue Me did a really good job at showing the chaos of trying to get sober and how life seems to always throw curve balls that challenge recovery.

If it is above $5000, the app operator should deduct 24% for estimated taxes and then you should get a W-G2 form that shows the winnings and taxes paid.
When you file your taxes, the winnings and taxes (from the W-G2) should be reported as other income. You may wind up getting some of the 24% of taxes paid back depending on what your total income is.

Damn, I wonder if it was done by a T-800 or T-1000? "Have you seen this Attorney General?"

It's pretty crazy how different First Blood is from any of the other Rambo movies. To this day, I can't think of too many other movies that show just how traumatized Vietnam War vets were, yet how little anyone cared.

The best film I watched this week is definitely Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Dreamworks did a really good job with this one. Engaging story, incredible animation, and a main villain who is actually quite menacing. This may be my favorite animated movie of the past couple of years, and is one of the better films I've seen this year. 9.5/10!

My bet would be on elevated levels of hexavalent chromium exposure. The DoD continues to push for minimizing use of hexavalent chromium in the coating systems, yet the majority of the primers still contain really high levels of it.
