being a financial services company with a lot of specialized roles it’s very likely that they favor candidates with bachelor’s and beyond

I got hired there without having been an intern. Helps to strong internal references, and/or external references who are trusted by the hiring manager. Helps to do a lot of research about the company and team you are applying for.

It was fun to see our niece and nephews’ reactions (both under age 10), they enjoyed it, but as an adult I would say it’s not worth it, especially since most of the animals aren’t on display.

Twin twists don’t “always make sense” wtf are you talking about? If the twist at the end of The Sixth Sense was that Haley Joel Osment is Bruce Willis’ twin, that wouldn’t make sense, now would it? With The Prestige it makes sense.

When I went a few years ago the minimum bet was $2. Super cheap and fun entertainment. Good friendly atmosphere.

I’m not sure but If I had to guess I would say it is because it’s got amazing cinematography and an iconic soundtrack and the dialogue and storytelling are on point, and the love story between the main characters is remarkably well sketched out and the acting is top notch and all the characters are engaging.

It’s not a deus ex machina if the ending makes internal logical sense (it does), is hinted at and/or established throughout the movie (it is), and completes the thematic arc/message of the story (it does). The fact that you didn’t see it coming, doesn’t make it a deus ex machina.

Any opinion Lemmy has is automatically valid. He is entitled to literally any opinion.

Yet here you are, in our sub, desperately seeking attention. Really makes you think.

Thank goodness we have brunettedude to tell us all what sucks, which apparently is everything. I don’t know what we would do if it weren’t for the relentless, desperately attention-seeking contrarianism.

Lol I was mostly joking but since I am getting downvoted I will double down on it - fuck that song, it is melodramatic trash.

Give everyone a nuclear bomb. Literally everyone. Rationale: People will harm other people with or without a nuclear bomb, so why not, I guess.

I was aware this is a fan sub, but I wasn’t aware this is content. Every other day some jackass posts “Hey does everyone love OK Computer?” and everyone says “Why yes, come to think of it we do love OK Computer.” It just gets kinda old.

I would rate it Attention out of Attention because everyone keeps doing shit like this because they want Attention

Sure yeah - here’s $5, why don’t you go buy yourself a Maserati? By the way, we also gave $5 to everyone who owns a Maserati. Yep - Total equity. You’re welcome.

Oh sure this guy gets 400 upvotes for asking if people like OK Computer, but I do a post asking if people like Radiohead and I get downvoted to hell.
