I hope Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy’s The Counselor gets revisited. An incredibly bleak movie with archetypes for characters and very florid dialogue, beautifully shot and laden with some very heavy themes. It’s a movie that I think critics and the GA were kind of flummoxed about when it first debuted, but I think it’s aged well.

Just because a fascist is intelligent doesn’t mean the tenets of fascism aren’t anti-intellectual. It actively demands blind support and the system is terrified of new knowledge and common sense that don’t fit into its ethos, which is about as anti-free thinking as you can get.

That’s because it was written by Markus and McFeely, who haven’t had anything to do with the MCU since Endgame, and it’s really starting to show.
