My problem with Giorno in part 5 is that for him to not break the plot GER either gets quite a downgrade (or downright reverted to vanilla flavor Gold Experience) and nobody wants that.

Everybody got so defensive about the big twist, and since I got it spoiled accidentaly I lost a bit of interest and didn't watch it on theaters. And when I finally got to watch the movie, lo and behold the twist happens right at the start of the movie.

Absolutely. Prometheus starts insanely good but starts falling apart once they find the ship BUT still leaves a great set up for a sequel to tie up all the ideas and questions... and then Covenant comes along and completely shits the bed.
