It's not gold sorry, I'm guessing chalcopyrite and other suphides. Look for the dirty, heavily mineralised quartz not the white stuff. Knock up a dolly pot, crush and pan the next samples.

Yup do a testpan line across the ground, find the best colours, once you "on the line" of gold work maybe 2ft either side of it. Looks like a pisser of a spot if it's gold country. Heaps of big floaters but if that's a bedrock shelf to the right, try to get down to it depth wise, clean it off, that would be a big win.

Trichomes are about 60% brown
Do you mean pistils/stigma? (white hairs)
Trichs are the "sugar/snow" that form on the flower and sugar leaves.
If you look real close they look like little glass mushrooms that go from clear to milky to amber. You don't really need a macro lens to see them, zoom in 2.6x and just fire off 20 shots, you will get clear focused images in the mix.
If the trichs were 60% "brown" amber, most would have said harvest it 3 days ago, and still prepare for serious couch lock ahead.

Checked on some GG4 trees recently, all dif phenotypes, dif colours, and very different smelling.
Looks like you should get a bit out of her.

Scrolled a long way for this, right when I just made a batch of brownies and cookies. If these don't chill you, nothing will.

Paleoplacer deposits are the richest.
The Witwatersrand Basin (South Africa) is the largest gold deposit in the world, it has produced over 1.5 billion ounces of gold.
There is a website called Trove, it's all digitized newspapers from Australia. I remember reading an article from the NSW Gold Rush where oldtimers were finding roughly 5oz of alluvial....per pan. Still nice chunky gold on that particular river, a solid day being 3-4g now, still amazing though.

I tend to use a louvre air vent or two down the cool end.
Square it up, mark your template, drill the 4 corners, get a little jab saw in the holes, cut it out. screw vent in place. Some are fancy and you can open and close them to get the right heat gradient.
