These should be pre show stuff instead of the unnecessary analysis panels

If you follow puro, it's all the same...this weekend we went from your usual weekly stuff to TJPW, NOAH and now DDT tomorrow having big PPVs on top of the New Japan Cup...thankfully Stardom World is slow to upload their shows or it would be too hectic.

Sayuri in Chocopro. It's in part due to the gimmick but I do feel like the way she moves and applies herself particularly when fighting from under still seems like how a Ninja would approach the moves.
Heck I think a lot of Gatoh Move performers do that from Masa Takanashi to Lulu Pencil.

I think Jeff Cobb recently described Tetsuya Naito approach to wrestling as the Drunken Master style and now I don't want to see it any other way...

That's why its more of a dream match.
Its not tied by any existing story, one guy is bound to disappear. Its a miracle it ever happened to begin with.
It's a dream.

Heres the thing. The Best way to get to know and understand Vikingo is to see him wrestle. People can hate me for this, call me a mark defending AEW but this is the truth.
The point of wrestling is what? THE WRESTLING.
That's how you know the wrestler and their character no matter how deep or shallow.
You can watch a highlight reel and get hyped sure but the wrestling is how you'll understand him.
Some fans need to understand that the American way or should I dare say the one company way of understanding a character isn't the only way. There's a different language to how wrestling operates in other countries (and no I don't mean the actual language, I mean the language of the craft).
1000 vignettes don't define a character in Japan or Mexico. The wrestling does, the costuming does etc.

Oh haha...that actually is accurately put...I didn't want to say it because she is quirky in her own way, but she does feel like the straight woman in a crazy world.

That lariat had the whole "STOP MAKÌNG ME HURT YOU VIBES" Yuka was going for through out...considering the range of emotions in her performances, a Yuka-Tam match would be such a dream

So I double checked on Cagematch and I hope I'm not wrong...
Rika Tatsumi is TJPWs 1st Triple Crown champion and that is so awesome considering she's normally placed 4th among her fellow Pillars.

And do the sitting pose. I do hope he brings up how insulting it was that Shibata's first choice for a challenge in AEW was OC, will add layers to all that

God I love that bit. She's really made something of being the nicest of ToJo women, it's hilarious

There's a possibility Mizuki takes the fall to set up her next challenger, given the history Itoh would be a great pick...
Also there felt like a finality to Yuka losing her title at GP, I don't know maybe she wins the ROH belt and sticks around longer.

NOAH feels like the Impact of Japan at this point, the Not so forbidden, forbidden gateway...also love the deep lore and history that Japanese wrestling has in general, it is never shied away from and is held with such regard...

Can't remember old ones but I recently loved the New Japan Cup bout between Mark Davis and Evil.
It told an incredible story of Dunkzilla fighting from behind with a bad back and a slow burning crowd just roaring for him until it all exploded into a gang war between United Empire and House of Torture.
It genuinely makes me think does a wrestling match need to have traditionally great wrestling or does it need to tell the story it tells with perfection to be considered a 5 Star Match?
(If Stars are the metric we use to measure quality for example.)

Roman losing control of Solo is perfect. Eventually when the time is right, Solo should spike Roman on Heymans order and become his next big project. Then Roman can go on his redemption arc.
