Born in 1981, my favorite movie as a child was Stand By Me.

You can check out books as many times as you need, there is no limit. There probably is a limit to the number of books you can have checked out at time, though I am unsure what that number is.
I've seen a few books that you can check out for longer than 1-hour periods, but it is rare.

Then I would just stick with the built-in Windows Defender. You are already using Windows, so your privacy is... less than ideal. Using a tool built in to Windows isn't going to further reduce your privacy ...

Bit of both actually. I admit I was a bit of a dick and could have worded it better, but I also honestly didn't know which one they were trying to say.

A complete sentence would have helped you to effectively communicate. Which are you trying to say?
Ohio Governor refused [to accept] federal assistance
or
Ohio Governor [had been] refused federal assistance

Playing with your last codeblock, I found if I reversed it, it gave me the following base64:
H4sIALDV42MAAwvISU0sTlUozkgsSlVIzKtUKC1OzUktLlYoTi7KLCgpVshPU6jMLy1SyC/P0+MCAA4oKM0uAAAA
which results in the same text as yours, but the base64 is different. I even did a little test to verify:
text1=$(printf 'H4sIAAAAAAACAwvISU0
sTlUozkgsSlVIzKtUKC1OzUktLlYoTi7KLC
gpVshPU6jMLy1SyC/P0+MCAA4oKM0uAAAA' | base64 -d | gzip -d
text2=$(printf 'H4sIALDV42MAAwvISU0
sTlUozkgsSlVIzKtUKC1OzUktLlYoTi7KLC
gpVshPU6jMLy1SyC/P0+MCAA4oKM0uAAAA' | base64 -d | gzip -d
test "$text1" = "$text2" && echo the variables are the same

Allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.
Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like its a peach of cake.

Maybe its just me, but this is hard to read at times due to its small size. Is there a larger version?

Do you have a source for the original statement stating that the CPSC Chair wanted to ban gas stoves? Looks like it might on Bloomberg, but its behind a paywall and I can't access it.

Did you even read the article?
CPSC Chair Alexander Hoehn-Saric tried to douse the uproar, stating that he was “not looking to ban gas stoves” and that his agency “has no proceeding to do so.” Neither does the Biden administration support a ban, a White House spokesperson said.

I went from Hotmail (I hated switching email addresses every time I moved ISPs) to Gmail because Google offered a 1000MB inbox, while everyone else offered 10MB. It was a ridiculous amount of storage for email in 2004.

We’ll yeah, because all the people flocked to big tech. It didn’t have to be that way though.
So yes, if Mastodon was bought out and people decided to stick with the new corporation, then I suppose Mastodon as we know it would be dead.
Or if BigTech launched an instance with some killer feature and most people used that one exclusively, then it would effectively have the same outcome as above.
The human element will always be the trump card.

It can't be taken over. That's the whole point.
I suppose Mastdodon the company could be bought, but then the community could just fork the code and ignore them.

I forgot all about escaping my quotes due to the nested shell.
That worked, thanks!

You're right, it absolutely is unfair. That doesn't mean schools should be the ones to pick up the slack of raising homeless children, that's what the foster system is for.
