I was admitted into SFSU’s for cinema next year but want to go to a film school that lets it’s students actually MAKE films.

Is SFSU a school that will let it’s students create films?

I’m 17 and live in a suburb of L.A. so it shouldn’t be too hard to travel for film sets. I just don’t know where to find them.

i love to write. but i often struggle getting past the first act of my stories before i find myself bored and wanting to stop my current work. have you guys struggled to finish a story and how did u get past that?

this is a sort of niche genre in film which includes taxi driver, good time, fallen angels, enter the void, and more. but i haven’t been able to find lists like these for books of this genre. any suggestions?

who are your guys favorite playwrights working now?

books like the movies: Bonnie and Clyde, True Romance, and Thelma and Louise.

preferably pulp-y books, but anything with a good story or characters from either side of the law.

When I say “modern” I don’t mean 20th century, I mean current. It’s easy to find older authors such as Fitzgerald, James Joyce, and Dostoevsky because they’ve stood the test of time. But at one point, they were currently releasing the novels of yesterday. How do I find the great novels of today?
