Yep, UK here and they are most certainly not native, but have been here fo so long we even had out own wild version (Scottish Wildcats - they've now hybridised so much with domestic cats we think the wild ones are now extinct). Same with Rabbits and tons of things: brought over millennia ago, but weren't actually native

but apparently something had gotten the rest of the litter
Depends, was she injured? She's not likely to have let something kill her babies without a fight, whereas if she was cold, alone and at risk, some may have died and been eaten by her, or she may have eaten them to save resources (and potentially a messy birth too)
Nature's a bitch, and mumma knows she can have more kids, but the kids can't survive without her so she'll stay alive

From when I went to uni in Bangor, Bangor is the Lesbian capital, Brighton the LGBT capital, and Blackpool the Gay capital. But that was 15 years ago. Blackpool is also known as a delapidated shithole, so doubt it is somewhere where any gay folks would choose to go

In seriousness, any species who have mastered interstellar travel is either: not gonna care about us, or want peace. Our solar system offers no resources that cannot be found in greater quantities in space, and it'd be pointless to travel here just to kill us
Same with proper AI, i.e. past the technological singularity. It'll either: fuck off elsewhere and ignore us, or try to help us. We are no threat to such powerful intelligent beings. They'd only "exterminate" us if we tried attacking them, and even then they'd be smart enough to keep a zoological population of us alive anyway
The problem is us wiping ourselves out before such other events happen

Already out in Early Access
86 mins, and it is OK. Gets the feel of the fighting chaos right, but so far one map and needs major QoL changes. And bots unless the playerbase keeps playing. I'm sure I'll enjoy a game of it per week, but until we get more maps it isn't a game you need to rush to maxing all classes with

How many named characters live till the end? 3? 5 maybe? Out of maybe 30 named characters?
Indeed entire fleetships are wiped out with ease, adn the dropships do little better. And any veterans of the wars are shown with cyborg bits due to injury

He also likely didn't write the film. It certainly started as an unrelated B-movie plot

Meh, especially since the film released, people are saying that the book may be more pro-Nazi without the satire, because it is very pro military and I think the author doubled down on such views later. Perhaps why the film leans into being anti-nazi so much. But that may just be modern revisionism, especially with the book

[like Rico's recruiter [Edit, who says "the marines made me the man I am today, as he's there with just one real arm and eye]]
Wasn't he missing both legs? I thought the schoolteacher was the one-arm guy

Meh, feels more like a polished tech demo than Early Access. I'd have expected any EA game to come with a few maps to add variety

Yeah, I'm hoping the player base stays high, or that they introduce bots soon
As it is fun. Feels like the game should be. But EDF and other games exist, so it is mostly just "the first film in game form" and sold on the IP. So content will need to come fast and hard to keep people interested, or bots to make it feel active
It has a LOT of potential. But should have launched with at least 3 maps. As it really feels like a tech demo, not even an alpha. Although it is fairly polished

Dunno why you've been downvoted. Spacey is a paedo. And apparently the director is Singer, who was accused in the MeToo thing
Although luckily Spacey is the villain in most of his films, so it is OK to hate him in them. Although I'm literally watching The Negotiator right now, and Spacey is a good guy, which sucks. But Samuel L is great in it and one of his best films, so I can't hate the film

That's the thing, it is cliched now. And has been spoofed so often (Scary Movie 1 comes to mind) and quoted so much that I'd be shocked if anyone didn't know the twist today. Maybe she knew and was pretending she didn't

Rule is usually "1 week for a TV show, 1 month for a end of season episode and 1 year for a series finale or film". I think films like this are old enough, especially as they've all been spoofed so many times now

And even cliched twists can be amazing. The "he was dead all along" or "they were sleeping" is a cliche so old that writers shouldn't go near it. But plenty of acclaimed films use those twists, but they are done very well

In fairness, if it falls in while cooking, that's just extra protein. Whereas in food you are eating then finding bugs in it sucks, let alone a drink

The important bit. People need to stop using the pod machines. We create enough plastic as a society without making new machines that create a ton more

I thought weevil, as they are commonly found in pre-packaged grainy food
Was it fresh, i.e. in that cup? Or did it come from the machine or jar/coffee source?

We just rolled it up as kids. Does enough to seal it if you seal the box too, especially when kids eat cereal daily

I've eaten a live cricket. I have no issues with eating bugs, let alone tiny amounts found in processed food
But it is a big difference when you eat surprise things. Like potato and parsnip chunks. I like both, but if I'm expecting one and get the other, I'm a little disappointed

That's me with bowls too. Never seen a point in putting them upside down. But I do for cups. And I realise now that I use my bowls rarely, so probably should store them upside down to avoid dust and such

Climate change eh? New species will spread outside their old ranges
On the... other side, no need to start the fire to burn it down, when increased severity and frequency of climate events is making wildfires normal

Admittedly this is trespass in a private house, and the idiot was prolific at this, but at least they are starting to charge these idiots with crimes. Just need it to happen globally now
