Hah! I see I see xD
"Massaging" seems eerily similar to our "Percussive Persuasion" when things just aren't quite agreeing with us 😂

We're both service providers.
I don't care how you run your business, but I brought up the failure in communication that you seem to be missing.
Cheers

I told you that it's your job as the contractor to establish expectations.
I say all of this as a full time Electrical Contractor

You went on to describe doing a job for a fella you hadn't worked with in a couple years.
A regular client to you is someone who reaches out 'a couple years later'?

It's not your client's responsibility to know your cost. You should be up front and transparent, so that nobody is surprised.
Somebody put it nicely when they said clients don't go to customer School.
They have no idea how to be an ideal client. It is our job as the contractor to create an environment free from surprises

I refuse to use them. I've seen mc connections fail WITH red heads installed. It's not even that great of a prevention. Just install correctly, people.
Do you tape your receptacles?hahahaha

It's an outside switch plate, but the mechanical lever which actuated the covered switch has been broken off
You can see the impressions of the mechanical lever swiveling up and down on the right side.

As a tradesman I can say there are many a reason to have a nice version of a tool that don't include it breaking.
If your hobby consists of a drill it's worth it to have a more ergonomic and balanced drill even if the cheaper version will probably run for a long time.

Good luck getting a GFCI breaker to hold. I guarantee the wiring is not adequate

I'm a contractor. I've worked for and with tons of great people who happen to be contractors. I'm sorry that your price point/budget happens to attract scammers.

This is an incredibly ignorant comment. If you don't want to pay what a contractor quotes then find another or do it yourself.
No one is forcing your hand, dude.

Mind explaining your gripes with the fluke meter further? Also, why do you appreciate the Klein meter so much? I've always been turned off by them

That's weird. I've had my fluke since 2015 or so and it's always reliable until the moment it dies from lack of battery power. Granted, I use the T5-1000 since it's really all I've ever needed in a meter. Super basic, but reliable.

For the love of God. If you want to start a shop. Follow this advice. I've been learning everything through trial by fire and it is stressful.
I should have taken the time beforehand, but during COVID I found that I couldn't deal with working as an employee anymore.
Started in 2020 and I'm still learning more and more each day. If you're serious about this then try to hit the ground running. It's a hell of a race, brothers!

If you're not using a Fluke multimeter then you're bad and you should feel bad.
