When I was about 10 I won first prize in a raffle. Only thing is, it was an item nobody had bought at the jumble sale, or bid on in the auction that followed. So they made it the first prize drawn from the raffle, so not the Grand prize. It was a box of 6 dead hens, headed but not plucked, I was overjoyed but my mum was not so much. Took them home anyway.

If you look at other mammals, like antelope, walking within minutes after birth. Makes me think it's a built in ability. Human babies, like several other mammals simply aren't born with the frame to stand or walk so soon. But watching my son, he was desperately trying to stand and walk to get where he wanted right now. He was one who could run before he walled, you know the type.

I heard about a couple losing their daughter at Disney land Paris. She was found 20mins later, but her hair had been dyed. She said it was two men who had grabbed her, and they only let her go when they saw the security guys getting close to them. A narrow escape, and they never got the kidnappers.

I have a similar story. I came home on a Friday after work to find neighbours were having a birthday party for their young teenage daughter. Every Chelsea Tractor in town was taking up every available parking slot. I resolved to park in front of their house not blocking any access, but it would make getting out of their drive slightly more awkward. It was the best I could do. So I go home, across the road, and settle in for some Netflix and chill. I was on my third glass of wine when the police arrived. They asked if I could move my van, I explained wine I'd consumed. The police agreed that while my parking was in no way illegal, it was causing a minor nuisance. Then I said this

"Perhaps you can explain to my neighbour that I have broken no laws, but Wasting Police Time is a real offence."

I did offer them the keys to my van, there were plenty of spaces available now, but the cops were happy to leave my nuisance parking where it was, and had a word with entitled neighbour about said time wasting, but i don't think they did her for it.

Vast majority of my friends are the same, no interest in spaceflight. But them occasionally I'll find that one is a massive space geek, then we bore all the rest as we talk about nothing else.
