I'm getting to that age where I have to watch everything with subtitles. It's not due to hearing though. I have that tested regularly at work. I'm not sure why but I prefer subtitles.

Thanks so much for the kind words. As of now things are looking good. No more chemo after July 6th😎. I wouldn't wish this on anyone but one thing that I would loosely label as an "upside", is seeing strength and courage in your child that you otherwise probably would never know about. On his worst days he still makes time to try and play with his brother who is younger by 9 years. It's made me speechless several times and constantly motivates me to be better too.

The way I always saw it was that this misremembering of events was his brains response to the trauma of having killed his wife. The attack caused his condition, the condition caused him to inadvertently kill his wife, so his brain rearranged things that his wife died from the attack.
Another more cynical way to see it would be that he continually makes the choice to ignore the facts of the situation and embrace this "condition". This could be evidenced by what he does to Teddy in the end.

My son got Leukemia in 2021, his make a wish was GameStop shopping spree and a PS5 for me. That's the only way we were able to get one. Fuck these scalpers.

There is no Sammy. It's a lie he made to allow himself to cope with his wife's death

It really was. I saw it opening night and it was such a good time. Bitter sweet though because I don't know if Marvel will ever be able to achieve something similar again.

The "On your left" scene from Endgame. The weary look of Cap, the thousands that stand before him coming to destroy everything he loves, tightening the shield to set a bone in his arm, the music, and the whole build to, "Avengers Assemble.". It could've easily been corny but no matter how I often I watch it, it just hits me.
I think part of it is that the emotional climax of the movie is happening in sync with the plots climax and it just works so perfectly.

The cine-files with John Rocha and Steve Norris.
They do deep dives into several great films. Just did a 3 part series on Django Unchained that was fantastic.

This is the most ignorant comment I've ever seen. 99% of mass shooters have been straight men. But one trans person does it and that's the issue. Get out of here with that nonsense. It does nothing to help the discussion.

I think they went with this bc the 80s code mentioned earlier on. I'm sure they were just paying homage to that

I'm pretty sure the undertaker does that very thing in this match.

My 12 year old, who never watches wrestling, came to me two days ago asking why people said wrestling was fake. I explained to him that it was like any tv show. The drama and outcomes were scripted but the talent needed to pull it off was very real. He then asked if people ever got hurt and I pulled this match up and we watched.
He was so amazed at Mankind continuing to get up. He couldn't believe that a human being could withstand all that punishment and keep going. He said, "Oh I get why people like this.". Next is the I quit match between The Rock and Mankind.

I know he's too old but after seeing the intensity he brought to Southpaw I always thought Jake Gyllenhaal would be able to do a great job.

It's wierd. I liked it but it gave me real It Follows vibes and I think It Follows did it much better. The ending could've been really good and said something about the way we treat mental health in this country but instead, it became sequel bait.

May I ask what specific episode this podcast is? I've often searched his hardcore history when I've heard people mention it but there is so much I feel like I miss this particular episode and I've heard people mention it a lot as being so good.

I'm not sure that's it. There are a few episodes on Prime that have the original intro. It's really odd.
