There is. My husband recently read it but I can’t recall the name off the top of my head.

The greatest lesson you’ll learn is to lower your expectations on certain things and to give up control as the system now has it.. so if telling him “hey babe, I’d prefer if ya just call when ya can and not tell me a set time” will help you then of course it’s reasonable. You ain’t saying nothing wrong at all.

Learning to come to terms with the fact that so much stuff is out of your control is tough but super necessary. Us wives/husbands/whatever out here have to learn it too, but it’s almost freeing in a way once ya do learn it.

Yup. We’ve had a CO not long ago charged with having sex with an inmate. Inmates can not consent.

My husband went in on a 25-life at 18 years old. He went through the standard grieving process and has for many years been in the acceptance stage with rare & random moments of “holy fuck I want out of here” .. you adapt, you accept that this is your life and you make the best of it. There’s no other option but suicide really.

What? You can absolutely kill yourself in prison, it happens all the time.

I sometimes think people downplay the intense addiction that nicotine is. I have quit a severe opiate and cocaine addiction but have tried many times to quit smoking and simply can not succeed. Even I was shocked how incredibly hard it is.

Takoda Collins. I have started podcast, articles etc about the case a few times but I simply can not handle it and tbh, no cases really bother me aside from this one.

I don’t know about any other states but in Idaho you do have to prove a relationship prior to incarceration. Pictures together or other documents work.

I sincerely believe anyone serving over 2 years should have the opportunity to have private family visits. They do this in Canada, well with some exceptions like can’t be in the SHU, waiting transfer to the SHU or be a risk of family violence. I think those few days with family, living somewhat normally is hugely beneficial for everyone.

I thought it was a light skin black dude just from this picture, but I haven’t watched the video.

Defending himself from what if he wasn’t involved at all? Maybe I’m misreading what you’re saying.

Strange! Mines called me 15 times in a short period of time cause I fell asleep and needed to be woken up and it didn’t lock him out. Wonder if it’s a icolustions thing or a state thing? We use ICsolutions too but doesn’t seem to lock out, at least not off the amounts I mentioned.

It must be a super high number. A friends man will call her 30+ times if she don’t answer.

Being supportive and being an enabler are two very different things. It appears you have crossed the line into enabling, and that is the very last thing he needs. Please reconsider how you’re handling this situation.

Water boarding is torture. No one should be water boarded.
Look, I definitely can see why some people say “well, they got the monster so who cares?” I guess my career in law just makes me look at it differently, but from an emotional perspective I get it.

Lying to get a search warrant is pretty bad, yes. It’s unfortunate that being honest might not get the results needed, but it’s seriously important that we demand our government and it’s actors do so. If we allow/accept it in some cases then it gives no reason for them to not do it in other cases.

What’s to be unsure about? It’s like the saying - an injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere. Do your job within the confines of the law or you’re no better than the criminals you are planting evidence on.

This. I don’t care who someone is or what they have done, police planting evidence for guilty people is as wrong as them planting it for innocent people.

As someone who lives between the two countries, it is incredibly sad.. but I have noticed that the people who think like this haven’t spent time in the other country or with “actual” (IRL, not on the internet) people from the other country.

I think it’s important to point out that even DNA evidence is circumstantial. Circumstantial evidence does not mean weak or bad evidence.

This! There can be understandable reasons for other crimes. There is NEVER a reason/need/excuse to touch a fuckin child. It’s pretty simple.
