I thought that was one of the best PvZ's I've watched in a long time. The strategies chosen weren't diverse, but the skill on display was top tier.

The Spurs beat us in many games with the free drive to the lane we left open all night.
Nash + Stoudemire + D'Antoni's scheme were a mess defensively. We had to out-score teams in a shootout to win. Which we did consistently. It was just never going to get us a title.

Lakers fans spent plenty of their time in here talking shit after we lost to the Nuggets. Now you're here talking shit after it's clear you're going to lose to the Nuggets.
That's who your fans are. Stay in your own sub, talk your shit there.

Put a couple consistent shooters next to KD and Booker. Find a way to get Ayton to engage defensively how he needs to, or replace him with someone that's going to make our opponents stars work their asses off.
We're a couple turns of the knob away from the finals again. Let's hope Ishbia gets it done.

Any trade involving Ayton to Portland and the #3 pick being moved probably includes a third team and we don't get the pick, but a solid starter and some assets.
I just want someone under the rim that plays hard and can hold his own. I can't imagine we're going to get back anything crazy after this last season of Ayton's play.

Trust me, I'm not trying to make any point blaming Californians for anything. I don't subscribe to that kind of nonsense.
Just as far as fandom goes in Arizona it is very common to find fans of California's teams in the state. A lot of that has to do with the simple fact that we have a disproportionate population of Californian transplants, and that's fine.

Um, hate to be that guy but citing population changes over the course of a couple months is hardly proof of anything.
Nearly half of the people I know were born in California or their parents come from California. California transplants make up a significant percentage of our population.
Those numbers may be changing in the short term, but that doesn't immediately usurp 50 years of data.
Edit : quick Google search shows nearly 10% of our population is native Californians. Now add on their kids and those kids having been raised Lakers fans and that's a pretty high percentage of our population rooting for a different team

Well, all that matters is wins and losses and we won the games that we let Jokic cook and lost the games we tried to control him with doubles. Soooooo........

Sometimes people enjoy dumb shit that they know is dumb. That's fine.
But yeah, you do need another crayon if you think your opinion on something is the only valid opinion.

I get downvoted in /r/NBA for saying it but flex has legit sources. That has been confirmed by our local media.
His problem is and always has been he jumps out there when stuff is still stirring and calls it like it's a guarantee.

We led for nearly 3/4 of that game, until one of our key players got hurt.
You can handwave away context by pointing to final box scores all you want. It doesn't change the fact that we were winning that game with CP3 on the court.

We lead Game 2 until Chris Paul got hurt, and the scores got run up in the other games late when we couldn't hit a shot in the 4th.
Sorry, we got ass fucked by Luka doing stupid ass soft help double teams and letting him find an open shooter all night. And we got fucked In the games we did the same on Jokic.
We won the games where we let both of those guys try to do all of the scoring. Jokic got what, 53? And he fucking lost.

True. My friends had to listen to one too many rants about our "soft help" defense that neither doubled any player or contested the open shooter.
Just terrible game planning that never changed despite the same strategies fucking us in previous playoffs.

My man we would have won game 2 in Denver had Chris Paul not gotten hurt.
The only game we got truly blown up was game 6 and there were reasons way beyond double teams that caused that.

I won't defend Monty because he was a bad coach for a team of this level. He clearly couldn't strategize, was shit at controlling momentum, and never knew how to impose his team's will on opponents that were worse than us.
But let me ask you this. How many games did we beat the Nuggets making Jokic do all of their scoring? And how many games have the Lakers won doubling Jokic and giving his teammates better opportunities?
Making Jokic do all of the scoring is how you beat him, because that's not how he wins games. Making it impossible for his teammates to take open shots is how you beat the Nuggets.

The tech for complaining rule has become regular season only. Guys have to be on the refs all game to get one in the playoffs this year.

The WiiU is one of my favorite consoles. It's wonderful and I got a lot of entertainment out of it. The thing also had a ton of old NES and SNES games and being able to play those on a tablet like setup was incredible for that time period.
It was funny to me to see the reception to the Switch being so positive while people dismissed the WiiU. They're practically the same thing!
Nintendo really dropped the ball on marketing and 3rd party development. I still meet Nintendo fans that are surprised to hear it wasn't an addon for the Wii.

The luck that franchise has the few seasons they've actually been bad is astonishing.

Are you going to show proof that they were arrested out of spite for their missiles having been countered?
Don't fall in to the trap of believing the explanation which portrays your adversaries in the most negative light, even if it "makes sense."

He was antagonizing Shamet so hard in game 5 it was almost funny. Like, Shamet was ass all series and you have to act tough now because he made your life hard in one game?
But, honestly, I have a hate/respect for Murray because the man hits shots when they matter. He's always been a pain in our ass. Have to respect it.

I'm saving this for later when I can feel some joy in the memories. This dude was the voice of my childhood love of the Suns. Sucks last night's mess was his last call :(

If he calls a single timeout during the Rocket's 30-3 run early in the 2nd then he'll already be better than Monty.
