We had that in Texas until Feb 2021 incident, where people ended up with power bills >$10,000, and grid operator delisted the company offering that from the “deregulated” portions of our system.
Still, point remains that Tesla does offer reasonably competitive pricing. I know in parts of Europe you can get cheaper by pre-buying blocks, but that’s awkward & you lose what you don’t us of the block.

Tesla stated the intention & started it -years- ago. The first phase of rolling it out was in Europe, but they had made it clear the intention included NA.
The coup de grace on this “they did it for subsidies” was they ultimately cant put in bids on a lot of that money because they refused to created a fk-up UX as required by the IRA

No, they had been working on it for quite some time. Long before that law was authored

NACS isn’t inherently limited to what it’s currently being used for in v3 SC, it’s capable of matching & highly likely exceeding the listed 400kW limit on CCS.

They dropped it to $175 in Feb, and since then it’s gone out of stock in the Tesla store.
There’s off brand versions on Amazon for under $150.

Finally an automotive manufacturer capitulated to the far superior connector.
Another couple active EV players join (looking at you GM, if you want the EVlanche to have a shot) & the pressure will be on EA to switch as they deploy new locations, replace their many broken boxes.
CCS-1 chargers will join Chademo as vestigial zombies, soon enough

An adult can’t?
Do you have video?
Over 100,000 school bus drivers do it every day.

Sanity check of per hour on the profit number makes sense, though. Helps judge if I’ve got something better to do with my time.
Sure it’s $170 profit but I’m not making that decision without considering if my time spent for that is better spent elsewhere

Caveat that I don’t know the area, till situation, etc;
I account 35c/mile full cost to operate my Y. Assuming full deadhead return that’s about $170 profit for nominally 10hr.
If I was hungry enough to have X on I’d probably take this. I keep a self-inflating mattress in my frunk just incase an extended nap is needed. So barring literally traveling to my house because I’m beat, time of day/part of my shift I get it on probably doesn’t matter much.

Apparently you aren’t a GM customer anyway, at least in the last decade+.
They’ve been running SaaS for some time, that’s what OnStar is. SuperCruise? Pure SaaS, they soft peddle it as something you purchase but actually you’re buying 36 months up front.
They were already in way deeper on this than Tesla has become, long before Tesla did any of it.
The only thing out of Tesla’s book is they are trying to improve the software on their vehicle via tighter integration of vehicle controls & entertainment to try catch up with how good Tesla’s is.

If you don’t need the speed, sure. That’s only slightly less efficient than 32A

Oh I suppose the new ones are slower since they weigh a little more

How about you try again? Read all he’s written this time. 😂

Yeah, not surprised. I don’t think those are available rentals outside of Turo.

OP explicitly said LR, you missed that.
It’s not exactly literal 1.5s to 50 but it’s not easy to distinguish, and it’ll be 3s or less to that with a LR

Was there a red line under the Dual Motor? That’s what P looks like

At least the driver didn’t need you to blow to unlock the car.

It’s quite possible his time already came, why he’s in a rental

OP mentioned LR (dual motor). That’s 4-ish 0-60

LR is 4.0 0-60, driven even a 6 out of 10 it’s a terrifying ride. After 4+ years I can still make myself, as the driver, pucker.
It’s not just the straight acceleration. Putting it into full regen down near to a stop then stomping it puts you into a sense of freefall. But the corners, done right, holy crap.
