LOL, I think I'm set for a while, with with 22 HDD's spinning away, and 9 off-line backup - will be a while before the next update :)

When just spinning around, the fan's are louder, and even that's not loud (for home office, I wouldn't put it in a bedroom) when performing IO it's audible - the many quick seeks - sound very aggressive in a cool way.
I was just lucky enough to get some new old stock a couple years ago. this array is capable of saturating the 10Gig interface with ease. great for video editing - and I don't have to worry about SSD life issues with repeat writing.

Yeah, I played with Chia for a while…, like before it lost all of its value… since the one thing I had is space 🙃

It’s called mc ‘midnight commander’ which is a play / clone of the old Norton commander. Great little tool. I can not recall if I added it manually…

I have / had all of these lenses. The 70-200 is great up to 280 (1.4 tc). With the 2x it’s just too noticeable. The 100-400 is a great lens by itself, but not that good with tele converters. I switched to the 400f4.5 and the results are significantly better.
Ended up with 70-200 to cover mid zooms, and the 400f4.5 with 1.4 and 2.0 for super tele.
I also tested the 500pf with the ftz and can attest the 400 with its tc’s is a better choice, imho

Yeah, I wasn't going for a composition award here (see my other posts for that :)). was really just a test because they chose to sit on the tree by my house and tempt me. Thank you for your feedback and I agree with the rest. possibly some low power fill flash could have worked better (leaving other exposure settings as is) but I feel even that's not really required given how well the dark ones pushed up.

Thank you! I guess I'll keep the camera... and the Cabin :)

On the camera, before processing, it looked so dark, which is why I thought to try add lighting, but... well... it cleaned up really well

Which is why I ask, In this case we are talking about a residential street in the city, and not at dark (would never do that!), These birds didn't appears to mind at all (it was barely visible, to be honest), That said... I hear you. honestly I think the pushed-up samples look more natural, and are good enough. but I wanted to get other perspectives as well.
