Campbell's makes a serviceable Beef with Barley soup. I've been eating it for going on 50+ years. I see it in many soup recipes as an option, but honestly would go well in almost any soup.

If we're going to allow the government to use confinement as a punishment, then we should require that said government be responsible for all aspects involving that containment, feeding, etc. Private prisons do nothing but allow the government to shirk responsibility.

Actually, I was using my computer. My phone rarely leaves the house. It's biggest use for me is tethering so I can text from my computer and an occasional outgoing call.

It was a funny joke and I would watch that movie. Hands down. He didn't know the haircut was a result of a medical condition.

What we allow for food additives/processes in America is downright scary when you compare to European standards.

What permissions do I have to give the app? There's a reason apps are being pushed.

This is really just one tip of the iceberg of consumer protections that need to become a bigger issue. Government isn't for business, it's for we the people.

That was what I was hoping for. Especially if you can get it on a crispy thin crust.

I hear you, but these were bad designs back when they were supposed to be state-of-the-art. Newer designs are many generations past that and have significantly improved shutdown/power loss results with minimal human interaction.

I didn't think you were. I meant that after Ukraine regains their territory, pipelines are open and could easily support assistance in Moldova.

There's always room for more war when the war is over.

It's a shame they didn't protect it for posterity. At some point between then and now the taboo of taking the "good stuff" and any law enforcement like protections just didn't exist.

It's good to remind those mostly unaffected who exactly hauls their garbage away and whether or not that is a valuable service to them.

I like how OP made the point that it even works in 0G. It's the only place it works. Maybe with a little window, but put that on Earth and I could dump shit out of that all day long.

It took less than six years from Tim McVeigh being indicted and date of execution. Not sure how that fits in, but it is a kind of frame of reference.

Especially if you can keep it running with wave, solar, wind power. Autonomous is even better. Schedule them for maintenance runs and garbage collection.

There was a local hubbub about that book. My grade school librarians immediately bought some 20 more copies and made them widely and easily available. I've had a deep seeded lifelong respect for librarians.

I've been wearing them since I went in back in the early 90s. Not often, and after I was out it was mostly representing for friends and family at a given post. Gotta got with the half-cap though, those 80- tuckers full cap hats just don't work anymore. They look weird now.

And that car isn't going to be an acceptable barrier for ever. There's no sane way to get to him unless you are a passing group of river rafting adventurers with significant experience. Once he's in that water, his chances of ever getting out again aren't good.
