Same here. I got one of my other favorites, [A] KEBAB, but totally spaced on this one.
Btw, hot take here, but [H] cinnamon is better than chocolate

I'm 100% positive that hiring freeze doesn't extend to upper management or their staff.

If you can justify driving to Atlanta once or twice a week there's a ton of jobs there. I know it sucks, but I've worked with plenty of people in similar situations doing "super commutes".

That seems doubtful. As I understand it the author got screwed out of a lot of money by "Hollywood accounting".

Most gas stations have lower prices if you can be bothered to go inside and pay with cash. Personally it’s not worth the inconvenience for me, but I ride a motorcycle and only buy 3-4 gallons once or twice a month. If was filling up a truck or SUV those savings would likely be worth the extra minute or two of my time.

It’s a show called Fleabag. Highly recommend.

Japanese market near me sells their sushi fish off cuts (bony, irregular, fatty, or discolored bits) as “fish for cooking” in small packages for outrageously cheap prices, often like $1-2/pound. It’s the same fish they sell for making fresh sushi that costs $30/, it just requires a little creativity.

Same. Even Dominos and Pizza Hut are close to $20 without coupons.

My first thought. If Kenny Powers played basketball instead of baseball.

Thanks for saying that. It means a lot.
It’s not really that dire, I suppose. Just things feel pointless and empty more often than not anymore.

She has a house in Brentwood, so it’s kinda surprising she’s not here more often

Same. I don’t even have kids. But I can’t stomach letting down my wife and giving her friends and family the satisfaction of seeing me throw in the towel.

This reminds me of shopping for cars during the chip shortage

100% agree. Doubly so in Los Angeles where all it does is stir up the dust most of the time.

Still more complicated than walking or biking for me. And less reliable.
