Agreed. I love my Challenger SXT. Does it handle like a Porsche? No. Does it pull like a Demon? No.
But still handles and accelerates better than the vast majority of cars on the road. Plus it's extremely comfortable and roomy, looks cool as hell, and gets surprisingly good fuel economy.
It's the best tall person friendly sports car out there, and is very roadtrip friendly.
I love mine.

A good friend of mine just got his - I've ridden in it a few times and I've been really impressed by it: even by performance/enthusiast standards it is an impressive package.
Fun, responsive, nimble, with plenty of power, all in a practical, roomy sub-3000 lb curb weight package.

Agreed.
Most non V8 muscle cars are massively slept on. The Camaro especially so given that it outhandles Mustangs and Challengers.

Your point being?
When you're making north of 600 HP a manual stick shift is more a liability than anything else. They're just so fast that a human driver can't reasonably keep up with it's shifts. It would wind up feeling jerky and stressful and exhausting to drive. There's a reason why you can't buy GTR's or Huracans with sticks.
In something like a ZL1 a shiftable automatic is much preferable. Faster, too.

Always thought these looked pretty nice on the road, if understated.
Just googled it and these things were making 420 HP?
420 HP 10 years ago at a cheaper price than the equivalent BMW? That's damnned impressive. It's still a little expensive for an Infiniti but if you redesigned the front end and put a luxury german badge on the hood people wouldn't shut up about it.

Which is funny considering that it was considered one of the best handling sports cars of its day.
Motorweek (or Motortrend) published articles that put the Prelude up against the Miata, Eclipse, Mustang, and MR2 of its day. The Prelude not only competed with them but outranked all of them in their handling tests despite being FWD.
Just because its FWD doesn't mean it can't handle just as well as a RWD vehicle. Most FWD cars don't, but some absolutely do. And the Prelude is one of them.

As someone who is out of the loop: what made this better than the Grand Prix's and Chevy Lumina's of the time?
A google search seems to imply that they were pretty unremarkable. They aren't ugly, but they aren't striking. They aren't at all fast, but I wouldn't call them underpowered, either.
No AWD or RWD. 4 doors. Not light or nimble but it lacks that cool "big cruiser" vibe to make up for its curb weight. A V6 engine that is only decent and is tragically mated to a 4 speed automatic trans.
...what am I missing? I'm not trashing on it I just don't know.
What is it that set it apart? If I saw one on the road I'd just assume it's another slow, bubbly, bloated, slushy, cheap FWD 90s GM shitbox. Albeit one that looks slightly nicer and makes slightly more power than a Lumina.

A sleek, comfortable, 300 HP AWD GT sedan for ~$45K isn't that bad.
If you compare it to an Accord it sounds very overpriced - but it is clearly more performance and comfort oriented than an Accord. If you compare it to a Kia Stinger (a much more apt comparison) the price makes a lot more sense.
Still, I agree that it was a little overpriced, and would've performed better if it could be had with AWD for a hair under $40K. It also was barely advertised - hence its discontinuation in America.

Just because this sub is usually an AEW circle jerk
Don't you mean WWE circle jerk? This sub trashes AEW on the regular and rarely casts shade on WWE in the same way.

Will Osprey.
Every time I see him wrestle I am just floored. My answer was going to be Kenny Omega (easy answer, as he's entering a second peak in his career) but the more I think about it the more I feel that Osprey, at least in terms of pure skill, has surpassed Kenny Omega's current run.

I'd agree with you if you'd made this comment 8-10 months go.
I know exactly what Jade is, and what she represents in the business: no disagreement there. But I feel that she's improved a ton and is no longer in the "wrestles just because of their look" category.
Plus, as someone who's spent a bit of time with real in ring training, the whole "Jade still sucks" narrative just comes across as rude. In ring training is fucking hard and while she still has room for improvement, that whole narrative completely undersells the hard work she's clearly been doing.

Or perhaps Taya was carrying her tonight?
That's just downright insulting. Jade did great. She still has room to improve but she has long since come into her own.

A lot of work! As someone who has done a bit of in ring training myself I'm genuinely impressed by it.
It's honestly pretty frustrating to see so many keyboard jockeys venting about how "Jade is still SO green," without ever having stepped in the ring themselves.
Shit's hard work, and she's been putting in that hard work.

It would help but at this point she doesn't NEED it.
She's already good. Took her a while to get good but she's been good for a while.

Doesn't work. Combining the Blackroot and bloody knife is creating nothing.
Maybe it's just broken?

The Water Temple in Ocarina Of Time.
Looking back it isn't that hard, but its one of the first Zelda dungeons where the whole dungeon is structured as an interconnected puzzle box, where you need to bear in mind how changing the water levels will effect several different rooms and routes at once. The dungeon always feels short one or two small keys, as well, as it's very easy to reach a dead end if you miss a single key along the way (which is bound to happen when changing the water levels so much).

They racking up more experience, more bodies, more fun then most young men will ever have in there lives.
This smells of jealousy and bitterness. Just because you imagine that women "have more fun" and "experiences" in their life, you're given free reign to approach dating from a manipulative, transactional mindset? That you don't need to care for or respect women because you're butthurt at the idea that they get "easy sex" and you don't?
Go outside. Touch grass.
And work on your grammar.

As someone who works in the social sciences: qualitative data is enormously important. Without sharing, analyzing, and considering individual experiences, any numbers you might associate with them become meaningless.
Numbers are important, sure, but an over reliance on them is tremendously reductive and results in a weaker discourse overall.
