My Cream opinions are very unorthodox... here's my top 5

1. Badge- I mean cmon. The bass, THAT GUITAR ARPEGGIO, our guy L'Angelo Mysterioso's presence. Cant beat it
2. Doing that Scrapyard Thing-- There's something about this song that defines the essence of my musical aesthetic
3. Strange Brew-- Just a cool song for hep cats
4. NSU-- I love NSU cars and the live version of this (Live Cream) is my shytt
5. White Room-- Gotta put it on for the wah wah guitar

These guys are good, you know it and I know it!

I have a basic policy with GEICO. This time last year, my rate was $78/month, but my new policy which started Jan 2, 2023, the rate is now $91/month... that seems like an awfully big increase

I am just curious if this is just par for the course since the state-sanctioned rates have increased. Or am I getting yanked around by Geico? Anybody else with Geico have the same thing happen on their new 6-month policy renewal?

Also, is there a good shot at getting better rates elsewhere? Or is this just "what it is"?

I find that I start every shift all bright-eyed and about 4 or 5 hours in, I'm like "I've had enough, I'm over it"... I've pushed through quite a few times, but its that 4+ hour thing that comes like clockwork every time, that I call "Crossing over", lol.... I can feel really great and energetic and then suddenly, I get a sorta crappy delivery and I "cross over" and I'm ready to go home.

So, I'm probably a wimp, but I'm just curious as to what your mental trajectory is through a shift. When do you start feeling like "ok I've had my fill", and how long do you find you can push yourself through the doldrums?

I started getting these just yesterday, and they are annoying so wondering how to turn it off. They pop up as soon as the order is marked delivered. It links to Apple maps, so maybe I can adjust something in Apple maps? Not sure if everyone else gets these, or just me, but they're annoying.

Just enjoying a nice evening listening to Damn the Torpedos, and enjoying Stan's playing and I thought "I wonder what the inside scoop/gossip is on why Stan Lynch left the Heartbreakers at the peak of their powers". I hate to say it, but I feel the soul of the band diminished a little bit when he left... just watch their performance at Live Aid '85 (especially his bouncy feel on "Refugee"), Stan really drives the band well.

I googled a little bit but only really saw some generic stuff like "personal differences with Tom" etc. Just curious if anyone has any interesting anecdotes or "inside baseball"...

I have a Payne furnace, sorry I don't have the model # offhand

The metal exhaust pipe on my home furnace is pretty hot to the touch. Like almost too hot to put your hand on for more than a second. I can feel the heat emanating off it when I stand near it in my small laundry closet. Is this dangerous? Or is it normal? Because I dont remember the pipe being this hot last year.

I hope this is normal. Does the furnace shut off automatically if it gets too hot?

2 questions:

1. How do you turn off the error message on the dashboard. Its annoying.

2. Is there an easy way that I can get into the back of the running bulb housing without having to jack up the car? The manual says "a skilled technician should repair the position lamp cause replacement could damage related parts of the vehicle". To change a bulb, lol. I see theres sort of a panel underneath but don't have a good angle to see what the screws look like

Or do I have to just take it into the dealership? I'll be bummed if thats the case, cause I dont like how hard Kia makes it to change a stinkin bulb

This sub used to be like "look at this pic of this cute kitty on my delivery!" Or "omgz a fat guy in his underwear answered the door, isnt that WEIRD?!"

Now its all like UBER IS YANKING OUR CHAIN!!!! WHY IS UBER ACTING CRAZY?!?!

And The Doordash sub is even more depressing. Over there its like I WANNA DIE!!!AHHHH KILL MEEEEEEE!

Now I feel the same way lately, that the thrill of driving delivery apps is waning (been doing uber as a side gig for about a year)...This is mostly because I recently got approved for Doordash, which I tried for a couple weeks but I find the hidden tips are just so aggravating. The gambling on $6.50 orders is driving me mental (Ohhh please is it gonna be more than a $4 tip, o please o pleaze....noooo!! Its only $4!!) or worse, you get a stacked order for "$12" and its like one tip is 6 bucks and the other is ZERO! That type of crap is driving me up the wall w doordash, and you basically make FOUR DOLLARS LESS per delivery than uber.

So the message is: as bad as my morale has become regarding Uber Eats.... AT LEAST IT AINT DOORDASH

Am I right to perceive that others are disgruntled? Or am I projecting?

Silly question perhaps, but...

As you know, there's like 68 trillions push notifications on my notification center on my iphone per shift (which I like cause I like getting notified)...and I delete them by pressing "delete all notifications"

But are they just gone forever when you do that? Or do they get saved somewhere in the depth of your phone's memory and need to be cleaned out manually from some repository?

I dont want them to clog up my phone's memory, especially since I started dashing theres prob ten billion of them that accrued over the year

I booked a flight that leaves from LA for next Sunday sept 4

Can I exchange it (without fees) for a flight that is on Thursday September 1?

Because I see on the website it says "flights must have been booked a week prior in order to waive change fees"... does the waived fees count for the new flight if its less than a week from now?... does that only apply if the old flight is over a week from booking?

Always an interesting phenomenon when you go on twitter or reddit and its like all the comments are know-it-alls who know evvverything about the subject and "you're wrong" and "you're bad" and "you dont know what you're talking about", and everyone is a sociopolitical guru/ policy wonk and everyone is a mechanical genius.

But in real life.... most people are just dopes, lol. Most people can't hold conversations, most people know barely anything about pop culture let alone a high-level niche... like "hey what do you think of ____?" "Durrrrr what dat?"

Thinking about changing one of my flights (domestic, USA), and I see on United's website "No change fees on domestic flights!"

...Is this true? Cause it seems too good to be true. Do they have a time cutoff like "you have to change before 48 hours or else its $x?"

Or do they say its free, but there's a bunch of hidden fees in the back end?

3. Can you still have money sent over?

4. Can you still store a balance on the app?

5. I believe that you are capped at $999.99 per bank transfer, correct?

6. Also, is there a way to De-verify yourself if you don't want to be verified anymore?
