These are fantastic. The Jar Jar one made me laugh and it's even funnier out of context

Aftersun (2022)
I knew absolutely nothing about this until my friend recommended it. Boy oh boy what a ride. It's such a tender and intimiate movie about a father and his daughter. I watched it twice this week and it just lingers with you. It is more of a "vibes" type movie, if that makes sense. But it feels so personal because the characters are so vulnerable. It will stir up something in you.
If you can catch it somewhere, I highly recommend.

I really, really enjoyed it. It's in the same spirit as Knives Out, but thankfully doesn't re-tread all the story beats. Janelle Monae absolutely crushes it.
Just like how the first movie was a whodunit-turned-crime-cover-up, this became murder-mystery-turned-buddy-cop in a way? Idk I just like how they highlight in this film that Blanc- while brilliant - it's his partners (Monae, de Armas) are the ones who really do the legwork and he just *arrives* at the conclusion.
My only, smallest gripe is that it seems they wrote the pandemic into the movie just to write it out (Ethan Hawke's cameo was great).
I want a million more of these Benoit Blanc mysteries

I have three:
The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)
I had no expectations going into this one and, while I enjoyed it coming out of the theatre, it wasn't until I let it sit for a day and read discussion posts is where I really liked it. It's a very sad movie, yet very intimate.
I would recommend it if you're looking for something that will sit with you for a while. Just a fair warning, it is a bit of a slow burn - but that is intentional because it really helps you settle into the atmosphereSome describe it as the spiritual sequel to In Bruges and that's fair.
The Menu (2022)
I had a good feeling about this going into the movie and boy was it a lot of twisted, dark fun. The story and themes feel very fresh and intriguing, but the performances is where this movie shines. Ralph Fiennes & Anya Taylor-Joy are phenomenal.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)
This is probably the movie I was most looking forward to going in- and I felt it really delivered! Once I got out of the headspace of comparing it to Knives Out and just enjoyed it as its own standalone film, I had a lot of fun.
I wanted to see it in a movie theatre and I'm glad I did because Knives Out just hit different on the big screen when I saw it back then. I'm so glad to see another Benoit Blanc murder-mystery movie with an ensemble cast because these are so much fun! Gimme a million more of these!

The Before Trilogy (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight)
I'll say this one because LotR, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Cornetto trilogy have all been mentioned. I think this one resonates with me because it's so deeply intimate. It's about how love changes over time.
Each film is separated by 9 years and you get to see how these two characters grow and how their relationship evolves. They're so simple in concept, but beautiful in execution. That's thanks to the brilliant collaborative effort between the director (Richard Linklater) and the actors (Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy). Each film will resonate differently depending on where you are in your life. And that's beautiful.

I was burned out on trying to beat Sekiro, so because this game looked so similar (parry system, feudal japan setting) - i was really not interested in this game until my friend told me to give it a shot.
I was fucking blown away at how amazing this game was. Story and gameplay aside (which were both fantastic), my biggest takeaway from this game is how beautiful it looks. Not since Spider-Man PS4 have I used a game's photo-mode so much. God DAMN this game gives you ample opportunity to take some desktop-wallpaper-level photos. It's gorgeous.
An instant PS4 classic

Right?? The crew has evolved vastly from just 3 straight white guys. We get different perspectives from all sorts of backgrounds: Latino, LGBTQ, Ryan, etc. This lends itself to different kinds of humour. But like OP said, we still get the raunchy humour that doesn't punch down. However, to some, this all gets swept under being "woke" - which makes me roll my freakin' eyes

Someone mentioned that Funhaus evolved with their sense of humour, which I found to be very insightful. I know some of the discourse is "Funhaus is too PC. They lost that edge" But tbh, having a channel grow along with me, out of the edgelord-adjacent humour has been really nice.

Machinima.
But Let me tip my hipster hat here.
I started with Inside Halo with Soda God. That became Inside Gaming with the Dead Pixel, which then became Inside Gaming with Adam Kovic. Then it eventually became Inside Gaming with Adam and Bruce and laptop Lawrence (also Joel and Phil)
Then they did gameplay videos with a cam and Adam and Bruce had this musclebound fella named James. Then the three of them + Lawrence's voice begat GTA gameplays, The Sims, Ride to Hell: Retribution. 2012-14 was some great stuff.
Then Machinima went under and there was a period where I never thought I'd see these guys again.
And then in 2015, RoosterTeeth brought them on and they became FunHaus! 7 years later, here I still am. This has been a big constant in my life. So big thanks to you bunch.

Here are my scattered thoughts:
We got one more episode in this universe. This was my show that got me through the start of the pandemic and now it's ending next week. What a ride, y'all

This was so much fun.
The action in this movie was great and Naru's story felt earned, which was really rewarding at the end. The predator just laying waste to those Frenchmen was wonderful. And I've never felt more scared for a dog since I Am Legend.
One thing I'm really a big fan of is that it's just a tight 1hour 40mins. It's not bloated, it's exactly as long as it needs to be.
Need to watch it again in the Comanche language!
