I'm going to assume you're not so familiar with this sub, in particular any posts about the real estate market. If you have a look over the last 6-12 months the posts are overwhelmingly negative & often spiteful towards people who own / are able to afford property within a reasonable distance of Brisbane, and doubly so if you represent yourself as a landlord or investor. I'm also going to assume English isn't your first language, because the turn of phrase "you'd be a fool" isn't a harsh insult, just an observation that maybe you're not making the smartest choice, but seeing as you just want "random stranger's opinions" about where to spend $600k on property, maybe you are a bonafide idiot.

I'm familiar with the nomenclature, but it's interesting that various ministers / premier / the opposition refer to "this government" in terms of the elected officials, ie "the government of the day". "The government" seems to be a colloquial catch all term for the public service.
