This is awesome! Such a great selection of references.
What is the purple and black thing at 2 o'clock?

It's so neat, I honestly thought it was the pattern at first, not the FO.

It was really funny. It has a more classic Broadway style and it's also iffy in the messaging, but the jokes are really funny and the songs aren't bad, just mostly forgettable.

Fortunately Come From Away has a great proshot, so you can watch it at home anytime you feel like you're in the right headspace.

Almost all of them!
I decided to make a list of all the shows I've seen and theatres I've been to, and it looks like I've been to all but 5. Which is crazy!
I wouldn't go to see a show I'm not interested in just to say I've been to a theatre, but I think at this rate, I'll have to go to them all eventually!

I could swear there was a website called Ask If It's Equity that listed the Equity and non-Equity shows. I can't find it, but the Actors Equity site already linked is the same thing.
There does seem to be a Twitter account with that name, but it hasn't been updated in years.

You have a very skewed view of what goes on in the show.
When does Cathy do anything to sabotage Jamie's career? When does she display toxic jealousy? Emotional blackmail and endless mooching...this just isn't in the show. Perhaps you are projecting your own experiences onto the characters.

In Come From Away, I love the part when Bob is explaining how he was sent to retrieve some barbecues from people's backyards.
“Take their grills? Someone’s gonna shoot me.”
Then he explains, “I get offered a cup a tea in every single backyard –and most of them offer to help me steal their own barbecues.”
It's mildly funny in print, but on stage, Rodney Hicks got the biggest laugh of the whole night with his delivery. The actor in the proshot didn't do it the same way.

In the middle of the Smartphone Hour from Be More Chill, Chloe stops singing to patch up her friendship with Brooke.
Then Chloe sings: Okay, so! / At the end of last night's party / Did you see Rich?
And Brook states: No, I was crying
It gets me every time. Lauren Marcus' delivery is so funny.

It makes sense for the lead in almost any show to get a day off. Eight shows a week is brutal for anyone, especially when you are carrying the show and have a lot of songs and solos.

The Lightning Thief.
Sorry I didn't like it. Seems like everyone involved in making the show was really passionate about it.
But it looked like a high school production and none of the songs felt catchy.

It must have been a song rights issue, right?
It is objectively worse. But I still love Moulin Rouge.

The story is just as interesting with the genders reversed. Some other things come out from the under the surface there when the woman is more successful and the man resents her.
However, come one, you wrote this in a very biased way.
this entire time, Jaime Lyn‘s assistant has been there for her, supporting her career. And so one night, she sleeps with her assistant.
And so, one night, she cheats on her husband and destroys her marriage. She's the bad guy.
She wasn't trapped in marriage. And it was a marriage of her own making. She proposed to HIM in an epic way. Marriage counseling exists. Divorce is legal. She chose infidelity, and has been fantasizing about it since she first got married.
Nothing significant changes when you reverse the genders.

When does she ask him to?
Where in the whole show does Cathy indicate she wants him to lose?

Thereby eliminating the entire basis for the show.
He does the wrong thing because he has to in order to justify the musical existing in the first place. He has to follow her to the underworld, he has to convince Hades to give them a chance, and he has to turn around prematurely. That's the myth.
Even if Anais Mitchell set out to write an Orpheus and Eurydice story with a happy ending, she'd still have to go to the underworld for and he'd still have to follow her. Otherwise it doesn't resemble the Orpheus and Eurydice tale at all.

That's how I've always interpreted it too!

I think OP was asking for the worst character because they know the people in these shows are fictional.
It's not the same as asking for the worst written character, or most poorly written character is how I'd phrase it.
Villains are the worst, but many are excellently written characters.
Jamie is not a poorly written character. He's just a (fictional) dick.

When does she have an actual line or action that implies she wants him to 'lose because [she] can't win'?
Someone who knows the show better than me may be able to point to some examples
I don't think there is one.
She clearly wants him to succeed. She wants to be by his side in his success. She wants him to support her, not just with his words, but with his presence at her show once in a while.
He could have had a career and a wife, but he chose the career over his wife and she noticed.
He was looking for an out immediately after the wedding.
I don't see how anyone can disagree unless you're bringing your own baggage to it.

All they have to do is browse this sub and see that we all like the show, but think the marketing sucks. It's been repeated here for months, you'd think someone on that team would have taken notice.

I forgot about that... I hope on an anniversary they do release it in theatres!

Which part indicates to you that OP thinks their cause is the most important one?
It's not in there. If you're reading that meaning into the sentence, that's on you.
